Dinner sounds nice – save money for your honeymoon.  😉

We weren’t even engaged a year before we got married, so…

We had friends come to visit from across the country on our one-year-to-go day, so we went to dinner with them and hung out.  Even though we didn’t do anything “special” it was still a special day because we kept looking at each other and saying “in one year, we’ll be married…” “hey guys, in one year, we’ll be drinking and dancing at our wedding reception,” “in one year, we’ll be wrapping up our reception and going to the afterparty!” and just generally being silly, so it was cute and fun, even if it wasn’t a big thing.

I really wanted to do something special, but he works that night.  I’ll probably join him for dinner at work though.

Our engagement party is one day after our one-year-to-go! It wasn’t exactly planned that way, but, hey, why not?! Kicking off a year long party!

I’m also going dress shopping for the first time on Friday, so that’s another fun way to celebrate it.

ANNNND our 6th dating anniversay is tomorrow so we are going to make it extra special.

One year is going to FLY!

@NurseNess17:  I’m going to a bat mitzvah on our 1 year to go, but I will be telling everyone I meet that it’s only 12 MONTHS TO GO!!!!!!!!!’

Our dating anniversary and the wedding date are two weeks apart.  I asked FI if he wanted to go to dinner for our 5 year anniversary or our -1 year wedding anniversary.  He said the negative anniversary was silly soooo… we’re not doing anything.

Our venue is actually part of a state park so the grounds are always open to the public.  There is a rail trail that runs behind it as well.

On our one year to the wedding we’re going to take our bikes over to the trail for a ride and make a stop at our venue.  We want to see how far along all the foliage is there on our date!

Our one-year-to-go was a Friday, so our parents threw a family engagement party that night!

I haven’t thought of that, but I’ll try to do something special.

We also have a birthday party that night, but we can have dinner before and start the countdown with a few glasses of nice wine!
