I just finished my 90 days of P90X and am looking for a new evening routine. Two days a week I can take Kickboxing, my all time favorite class. Tuesday and Thursday have Bootcamp. Has anyone taken this class at 24hourfitness? Is it any good? What do you do in the class? Thanks!

1st–congrats on completing p90x! That is quite the accomplishment!
I haven’t done bootcamp at 24, but it’s the class right before the ones I take. Having done p90x, I guarantee you can handle bootcamp. Plyo is hard! I’ve done a bootcamp outside before though, and it typically involves body or light weight squats, push ups, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, jumping squats, and a bunch of other moves like that. P90x has a lot of the same moves, especially in plyometrics. I like the class/boot camp format though because you are with other people and the instructor is there encouraging you.
Other classes at 24 you might like include 24 S.E.T. — that’s alternating one song of weight/strength moves, one song of step type cardio. It’s pretty intense, but you should be able to handle it. You can easily make it harder with weights and risers. A similar class but lacking cardio is 24 LIFT– it’s just the weight maneuvers without the cardio routines.
You might also really like bodypump. I’ve never done it, but it’s probably something you could handle and get a lot out of.
Good luck! Let me know what you think!

@Miss Damask: Thanks. I can’t believe we actually made it through the 90 days. We were going to start up again but the person we borrowed the DVDs from wanted it back. I have done 24lift which I really liked. I think I will give Bootcamp a shot and definitly let you know how it goes!

I’ve done bootcamp at 24, it’s basically circuit training. You do various of exercises at different stations. However, different instructors set it up diferently so it may vary. Overall, I recommend it.
I love doing TKB there.

I take it here in NY. Like the PP said each class is different depending on the teacher. My usual teacher is REALLY tough, but we had a sub the other day and it wasnt bad at all. The stations can be tough, but they only last like 2mins so its definitely doable. I say try it! You will definitely get a great work out.

I joined about two weeks ago and so far am really enjoying it. I am starting to feel so much better about myself especially if I work up a really good sweat. I have done two of the teenage boot camp classes and they totally kick your butt.
