i've heard of that and have been playing around with the idea yes!
Not a great idea if it's the standard nylon bridal petticoat! If it takes the dye at all, it won't do it evenly or worse: rub off on your dress or YOU if you sweat at all....not worth the risk. Get a colored one custom made instead :)
I'm torn between coloured petticoat with white shoes or white petticoat with coloured shoes. I'm sure I'm much more likely to rewear coloured shoes again than a coloured petticoat though.
