We went from planning a massive wedding to planning a 42 person luncheon. As long as you’re SURE you can live without the big party (and some people don’t want to, and that’s FINE)!

@KcWedding14:  Colorado is beautful in the winter.  What do you have in mind? An outside wedding is kind of out of the picture, but do you picture yourself in front of a fire at a ski resort, etc?

@KcWedding14:  Yowser really? It is cold and WINDY as hell here in the winter. You might luck out and have a nice warmer day but that’s a risk. Estes/RMNP is beautiful but please have a backup plan in case of foul weather. The pics do look amazing, but I can tell you that the weather can be fierce here from Oct-May. It snowed 6in on May 4th this year, and last Oct 3rd it was already 20 degrees and snowing!

@KcWedding14:  For sure! The Rocky Mountains are BREATHTAKING though!!  It would be great if you could plan for an outside wedding, but have an inside spot easily ready for you!  In front of a crackling fire while the snow is coming down outside, sounds amazing!   If you decide that the park is not for you, check out Breckenridge, it’s a cute little ski resort town, and very quaint. I bet they have some amazing venues!!!But what do I know, we live here (FI is military) and we’re getting married in California! 🙂

@KcWedding14:  We are having a small DW, not in Colorado.  But I am just commenting to say.  I love the idea of Colorado, the Rocky Mountains are just to die for.  SOOOOO beautiful!!

@KcWedding14:  Yeah Cali is spendy for sure, but that’s where fi’s family is from!  We’re getting married outside of Fresno at a winery, it’s usually mid-70’s in October!

Well estes is probably not an option anymore because of the flooding but check out manitou springs. We’re getting married there in December and it’s really easy to get to.
