I totally know what you mean! My dad is my best friend in the whole world and I cry anytime I hear a father-daughter song. I am going to be a wreck at the wedding during the father-daughter dance!

@europomme: I would get all misty eyed every time I listened to the song I chose for our father daughter dance, but when we finally did dance everything was fine and we used the time to talk about how the day was going.  You’ll be fine.

Everytime I listen to ANY song we’re incorporating in the wedding I get all teary.

I’m ridiculous.

*Please Lord, don’t let me do the “ugly cry”*

Amen.

@europomme: I haven’t decided yet. it’s def one of the things that is taking forever because I really don’t want to be a blubbering mess. Honestly though, I’m more concerned about my dad being a blubbering mess! He’s a crier!

I do, and I hear mine on the radio allll the time. We are dancing to “Won’t let go” by Rascall Flatts. It gets me every time.

I cry so hard during “butterfly kisses”. Even more during “I loved her first”.

That’s why I chose a song that didn’t make me cry!

Er, yes. Dad and I are dancing to I Learned From You by Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus – not soppy at all!

You are not alone, at the last wedding I was I cried my eyes out, my friend’s father raised her and her sister, so the dance was extra special. I also cried because I too am a daddy’s girl, but lost him 5 years ago. Really miss him.

Oh yes. I cry when I hear daddy/daughter songs. The one by Tim McGraw and another by Jamey Johnson that really get to me. I lost my father 13 years ago, but still plan to play a song for him at the wedding. I already know I’m going to cry.
