We are!  Originally I wanted softer pinks and pastel colors, but Fiance likes deeper, more saturated colors.  It’s not a conventional combo, but I’ve always loved purple and red together.  We are not very far along in our planning, but here’s some inspiration:

@Mrs.Roscoe: That last one you posted is gorgeous. If the shades are too soft it can look a little valentine’s day-ish. I like the slightly more maroon shades she worked in and the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses not being so in your face.

Glad that helps!  I tend towards the softer, more romantic colors, and my Fiance towards the deeper, bolder end fo the spectrum.  So our florist had a great suggestion – that we could be more romantic for the ceremony, then use the bolder colors for the reception.  So it’ll all be cohesive, but there’ll be more wow factor in the reception.  And we both still get what we want!

We are! The only thing that’s actually red or purple is flowers, though. Our chairs are black, linens are white, and silver accents. Our venue is covered in Christmas lights. We will have 10 tables. 4 tables will have cylinder clear glass vases with bridesmaids bouquets and the same for my bouquet, 3 tables will have the same glass vase with floating candle and a little glass tube arrangement, and other 3 will have low arrangements in glass vases.

I told florist I don’t want ruby, I want RED so we are using the gerbera daisies with the black centers.
