@MichiganGirl24:  I honestly must say I don’t miss it. That being said it’s not that great either for us because FI manages a store so will be working Christmas Eve plus Boxing Day … Not much time together.

@MichiganGirl24:  That should help a lot! Although, to me, that is not too long of a drive 🙂 When I was working out in Saskatchewan I had a 1.5 hour bus ride to the city then stay overnight and then a 3 hour flight, if I was lucky and could get direct. Either way holiday travel sucks because it is soooo busy no matter how you travel. Can your family(families?) not travel to you for one of the holidays?

I’m jealous, actually by his is the first year when we haven’t been able to see our families for Christmas (husband is a hospital RN and has to work, families are several states away).

I’m dreading traveling and the packed schedule. We leave tomorrow to drive five hours to a wedding. Then we’ll drive five hours back on Sunday so we can work Monday. On Tuesday we will drive seven hours to our parents. After that we have something booked everyday until we have to drive seven hours back to our apartment on the following Monday. I love seeing my family and friends but I would also love to have just one down day where I don’t have to change out of my pajamas!

It makes be just want to stay here but I know I would miss seeing our families.
