I was married in May and there are a few things I wish I could change, especially now that all of our friends are getting married this year. So I’m regretting things we didn’t do, or couldn’t afford, or should’ve done. Overall the wedding was beautiful and turned out great. But after all that planning, I’m over it. I don’t watch wedding shows anymore and we have been invited to 4 other weddings, March (of course I’ve already gone to that one), September, November (my husband and I are in the wedding party) and December. I’m happy for all of these couples as they were for us, but honestly I’m not looking forward to going to any of these weddings. Anyone else ever felt like this after your own wedding? Especially if you have regrets or things you would’ve done differently?

Don’t really have any regrets about my wedding but I agree about the wedding shows etc. I used to watch TLC’s wedding shows all the time! Now, I seriously feel like I need a break and haven’t watched one episode since my wedding. The only other wedding I am attending this year is my BIL’s and we’re looking forward to it. Though were not that involved in the wedding, and pretty much just looking forward to enjoying ourseleves.

I’m burned out but for a different reason. FI and I were invited to 8 weddings in the 6 months leading up to ours. We’ve now gone to 7 of them and have one left. Our own wedding is 39 days away and between all of the other weddings and pre-wedding parties – I’m sort of over it already.

I stopped watching all the shows about 5-6 months before the wedding. After a year and a half engagement I was over it! I am however super excited for all our friends weddings, which seem to be every other weekend anymore! Plus all the parties is a bit much, I’m just glad I’m not the one planning anymore! But I don’t have any regrets.
