@vorpalette:  Yes, I felt the exact same way. To be honest, it showed on my wedding day because I hadn’t given a lot of thought to the actual logistics of things. We didn’t have a DJ or day of coordinator, so any announcements or things that needed to be expressed to the guests or my venue on the day of was my responsubility. Well, obviously as the bride I was already split between 12 different places, so I couldn’t make sure all of these things were done. I had to run around asking people to make announcements (where people should be for pictures, when the dinner buffet was open, where catering should set up, et cetera to the moon and back….)

So, I would say that if you don’t feel this great sense of having everything done, maybe it’s because you hadn’t thought about all those little fine point details about the logistics of the day that really make the difference between a flawless wedding & a wedding that seems a little hodge podge.

go over each segment of the day and make sure you have everything you need.

if you can’t think of it now, i’m sure it is not that important and you won’t miss it.

there are plenty of checklists online also to use for reference.

I feel the same way and I’ve got 3 different “to do” lists!  I’m starting to hand off jobs to people now, I’m realizing that I really can’t do it all by myself.  My brother is turning out to be a HUGE help (he’s decided to take on the day of coordinating and he’s anal). My sister set up my hair appointment (yayyy).

I’d make a list of everything you need to bring with you to the venue.  Also, getting it packed up in boxes, etc. a few weeks before helped me stay organize and not forget anything.

@vorpalette:  I feel like I forget things on a regular basis…this is very common for me. I agree that it is hard to make a list of things you may have forgotten if you forgot them 😛 Not exactly top of mind stuff, lol.

I think you are just stressed. You seem like you have everything together and I would be amazed if there is anything you should have done but didn’t. Often my neurotic, “OMG DID I FORGET ANYTHING” episodes are followed by realization that I didn’t.

If you are worried though, I’d Google wedding checklists…and hope THEY didn’t forget anything 😛

Oh my gosh I feel exactly the same way!

I’m sitting here thinking “wow, I cant think of anything else I have to do”…and then I panic because I’m afraid that I’m forgetting something important. Hopefully when I get home I can look through my wedding planner and see if I notice anything big that I’ve forgotten about

@vorpalette:  It’s funny you mention that because as my reception started to wind down, I remember saying to now-DH, “Finally, I’ll get to stop feeling like I’m forgetting something.” It was a good 2-3 weeks leading up to the wedding and the WHOLE time I just felt that “what am I forgetting” feeling nearly all day every day. Funnier still, the night after the wedding, I STILL had a nightmare about forgetting something! It’s only 3 days later I’m starting to relax.

Starting 2 weeks before, I made detailed timelines and daily to-do lists to help me remember everything, a few tiny things DID get forgotten but it was nothing of any importance that actually mattered to how the day played out.
