When my FI and I first started looking at wedding rings I knew I wanted something fairly unique and vintage looking. We went to a bunch of ring stores but nothing really jumped out at me, finally we went to Spence Diamonds in Canada and I found two rings I really liked. Once I showed my FI which ones I liked it was up to him to pick (so it was a bit of a surprise). But now I have the gorgous ring I love but unfortunately the design doesn’t have a wedding band to match so I have decided to get one custom made.
Are there any other Bee’s that are getting thier e-rings or bands custom made?

I have a custom engagement ring, it is a princess cut with trillion side stones in a cathedral setting. My wedding band is in the process of being made. It is an 8 stone princess cut shared prong band that it being curved to hug me e-ring.
Your engagement ring is so different. I love it!

Yes, but I ended up going for classic and simple! Honestly, our situation was unique. My FSIL’s FIL is a jeweler, and he owns his own store. So he is willing to give us any jewelry at cost. Basically, I communicated what I wanted in the diamond, approved it for our price range, and then described the setting I wanted. You would never guess that it’s custom because it’s a one stone ring and there are many other rings that look like it but I love it!

My e-ring and my wedding band are both custom made. I absolutely LOVE them both! I don’t really know ring terminology, but I have a 1 carat round diamond in the center with 2 rows of little diamonds on each side :]

Both my e-ring and my wedding band are custom made!

Both my e-ring and my wedding band were custom made – FH designed the e-ring, which gave way to the band. He took a couple of styles that he liked and put them all together, right down to the selection of the stones.
The wedding band will have the same knife edge that the e-ring band has… I can’t wait to put it on next month!!

Although I’m a LIW, I’ve already told my BF what I wanted. I want a 2 ct yellow sapphire with a 2 diamond halos. Just based on that alone, he won’t be able to just walk in the store and pick it up, so it’ll have to be custom.

My band is custom made. My engagement ring had a matching band but it was so thin that my FI decided that I would get the choice for my band and I couldn’t be any happier.

My FI designed my e-ring to really show off my fingers. He chose an oval as it shows off long fingers and the band is super super thin (1mm) pave to match my thin fingers (I wear size 3.5). So when it came to wedding bands, I got it custom made- two curved bands on either side. The jeweler told us it is a good idea to get the rings to ‘lock together’ in the form of an enhancer and its gorgeous! A bit of an unconventional wedding band, but its perfect!

My e-ring is custom made! FI and I knew what we wanted but couldn’t find the exact ring..so he had our dream ring made!

My FI picked out A band off one tacori ring and picked the head off of a different tacori ring. It took them about 5 weeks to make, then he picked a diamond from NY to put in it. I love love my ring

FI is making my wedding band with an orange diamond that is over 1 carat. I love it!

My FH made mine, we have not found a stone for it, but still totally love it.

I’m having my wedders made – my ring is an odd shape and unfortunately the store we bought it from doesn’t make wedders to go with it. So I’m having rings (plural) made to go with it. I want one for each side so it looks symmetrical – if I don’t it’s gonna annoy me! Plus, I figure, I’m paying for my rings so I might as well have what I want! LOL
