I definitely am! I finally got our table numbers and shower hostess gifts done (DIY). And I got to work on our guestbook this weekend (it's a work in progress!). I've felt that the wedding was so far away up til this point. It's exciting to finally get to work on these things!
I've had some serious DIY urges, but I haven't given in yet! I need to wait until this semester is over before I can do any more DIY projects!
I just DIY some milkglass candles for our centerpieces, sanded/painted/reassembled giant shutters for our escort card display, started our send-off penants, and have been working on some gifts for our wedding party. We're < 2 months out so it is serious crunch time.
I'm with scissors!! But yes, I'm most def going DIY crazy!!
I'm with Scissors :) But it sounds like you are getting a lot done! Kudos!

@Scissors- Aren't we all? ;p This is a crazy sundae with whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry on top.
What projects has everyone been working on?
Invitations!!!
Also, menu for the rehearsal dinner, the german invites, and other random paper stuffs. :)
Oh, and the 6' tall portraits of the two of us. 6 down, 4 to go!
I'm going crazy. Every time I think I'm getting close, I think of something else I wanted to do or something I never finished.
@scissors- I too am working on my invitations (as I have for *coughs* 7 months *coughs*). I'm getting very very close to the point where I'll actually get to stick everything together and mail them out! Yay! Are the German invites the same, but in German? Or a completely different kettle of fish? The people we know in Germany all (thankfully for non-German speaking/writing me) read and understand English. And, OMG- 6' tall portraits?! I can't wait to read about THAT DIY project!
@BrianneG- I know how you feel! I suddenly feel like "OMG! I started and never finished [insert DIY here]! MUST. FINISH. NOW!" Unfortunately for me, my FI, and our apartment this translates to 20-gabillion projects all being worked on at once, covering nearly every "free" surface in our apartment. Even my FI's desk is feeling my DIY rath.
@Hamster- You can do it! And hey, what doesn't get done- no one will know but you (as long as you don't tell anyone else...). ;p Have you tried having a DIY potluck party yet? I hear that's a great way to get your friends and family over for good food (which they provide!), conversation, and some major wedding DIY project finishing! Good luck!
i've been DIYing like crazy with the favors! thank goodness i started them now, they are taking waaaaaaaaaaaay longer than i anticipated... that is how all of my DIY projects have turned out though. in the beginning i was like, "oh yeah no problem i can do all of this". now it's piling up a bit... i just need to breathe :)
@rabbit maybe i'll try that! my pals love food. and conversation. but mostly food :). sounds like a good time!!
I'm going to be going DIY crazy this weekend, for certain. I've got a four day weekend thanks to furloughs and good friday. I'm super excited to be working on so much the next couple days, though I need to study for a midterm as well.
@bloodgo1- what are your favors? Do you have anyone helping you out?
@Hamster- I hope you get a ton of friends over to help you!
@BrianneG- Yay for 4 day weekends!
Looking back, I started my DIY projects over a year before the wedding (buying a portable popup gazebo so I could use the frame to make our chuppah) and didn't stop until a few minutes before the reception (putting together the centerpieces and stringing the paper lanterns). So I can't say I was ever "going" crazy--I just started crazy and stayed there. But it was all worth it in the end!
I love DIY projects! they are keeping me same in the wedding madness
Yes! I think it's the one month left that had made me crack down and finally start and finish lots of DIY projects.

So, after not really doing anything more then thinking on wedding aspects for a while, I have gone crazy in the last few days with DIY projects! I have- glued and painted the wooden sailboat table numbers (So excited for these!), printed the liner pattern and cut the liners out for all 100 invitations, started work on our favors, dones some of the finishing touches on our invitation suite, and started work on printing our address on all of the RSVP envelopes. (Outside DIY projects, I've also Finally dragged FI suit shopping, found and bought the BM dresses, bought the napkins, table runners, paper lanterns, grass fans, ribbons, bakers twine in 3 colors, etc!) I think its all because we're very close to the 5 month mark! :O
Anyone having fun in their DIY storm?
