- Wedding: April 2010
I’ve had 13 months to plan and prepare for our wedding. I know we’re going to have an awesome wedding and have a wonderful time but sometimes you just have to stop and sigh… and then laugh after it’s handled.
This morning my FI and I were awoken at 8am by a phone call from my mom. Turns out my grandma’s fridge died and everything in it was warm. Usually this wouldn’t affect me much but this time it did. My FI’s mom spent 2 days preparing 2 large homemade lasagna’s for the rehearsal dinner. Since our fridge is packed we took them over to my grandma’s house. So, by 8:30 we were trying to figure out what to do next. My FI’s family was okay to eat it but me and my family were worried about getting sick and it’d be awful if the bridal party and family was sick on the day of the wedding. His mom was against just ordering pizzas so my dad volunteered to make 2 new lasagna’s. Once again, I’m so thankful for having an awesome family. I still couldn’t help but feeling bad though for his mom. She had done so much work.
Then, I go to the tanning salon for my airbrush tan. I get down to my skivies and the girl comes in to tell me that her airbrush is broken. Ugh, I need a tan lady! She said she could go to her other store and borrow theirs so luckily it all worked out. But it was definitely a bumpy morning but after the tanning dilemna I couldn’t help but laugh.
So, I’m waiting for 1 more gliche and then we should be good. They say things happen in 3’s. Anyone else have any funny stories?
