I felt the same way about my dress.  It is completely normal to have doubts I think, especially because you are just trying it on at home and it doesn’t fit right.  THat’s a beautiful dress!

I wouldn’t worry!  Also, the initial feelings that you have when you tried it on sort of fade after a while and you can’t remember it.

I think most of us have gone through that at some point. Your dress is beautiful! Give it some time, if you still don’t feel in love with it, you wouldn’t be the first two-dress bride in history! 🙂

I had first searched for wedding dresses online, & honestly I probably shouldn’t have. I found THE ONE online but was too scared to order it & it not fit. So, when I went to bridal shops, I looked for a dress that looked JUST like the one online. I didn’t even give any others a chance – & when I tried on the dress that resembled the one online most, I got it. I LOVE my dress but wish I would’ve been more open minded to other ones.

There’s a tip ladies! Don’t look online first unless you ALREADY just KNOW what type of dress you want, try them all on!

completely normal to have doubts, especially when you remember how it looked clipped and fitted, and then you see it when it’s 3 sizes too big. don’t worry, it’s the same beautiful dress that you remember. your face in the photos says it all.

I def. had doubts.. I made a really quick decision (the first day of shopping) and I freaked out for about a month after.. worrying if I had made the wrong choice.. & I spent more than I wanted to and didn’t try on a good variety of styles… but after all that I am really happy with my choice 🙂

Yes we all have been in the same boat! Women I find are generally indecisive…I DEF WAS! But keep in mind…just like your FI you picked that dress for a reason. 😉

That is a beautiful dress, and yes I had slight doubts after I bought mine.

Shortly after I bought it, I showed a picture to my friend and one of the things she said was “Wow, it makes your boobs look great!” She obviously meant it as a compliment, but I am very sensitive about the size of my chest and did not want to wear a wedding gown that shows them off or emphasizes how large they are. I kept thinking that maybe I should have gotten a different shape or style that hid them a little better (not that I look slutty in my actual dress). Then, I just came to terms with the fact that any dress I end up with will highlight my assets and I need to accept that. Very happy with my dress now, and even more so that I’ve had my first fitting and it looks great!

Goodness! I am having the SAME problem. I really did make a hasty decision when I bought my gown. It did look really great on me and I felt wonderful in it. It was beautiful and we all cried when I came out in it. But since then, I’ve been seeing so many other ones that I could afford that I like better. My mom bought this dress for me, so it was a gift. I told her “MOM I NEED TO TRY IT ON AGAIN” cause I had no pics of me in the dress. I was considering trying to find a new one. So she brought ip up from NC to PA over Christmas so I could try it on and get pics. It didn’t feel the same the 2nd time- It just wasn’t the same. Probably because it wasn’t poofy like it was at the store, and I also didn’t have a corset on like I did at the store, so my shape looked weird. I still want to lose like 20 lbs before my fitting so I hope that helps. I just didn’t feel the same about it anymore. It’s a very tradition dress, and I am not very traditional.. but I think I am going to keep it, and add tons of accessories and a bolero. I hope it works out..

I just keep telling myself that I will look good in it (with the proper shapewear! ahah) and that there will always be dresses I like better than my own. Either way, it won’t look BAD on me. Just like this dress doesn’t look bad on you. But it still rubs me the wrong way, you know?

Ugh

Your dress looks beautiful!  I think you hit it on the head when you said it had not been altered.  Once it fits like a glove I think your fears will subside.
