Hello date twin! Wow, you have accomplished more than I have!

My only wedding nightmare, so far, has been waking up to my mother calling from 10,000 miles away when it is 12.31 am or 1 am my local time, asking me to check my email about fabric choices. Sleep… I need sleep.

@haker4:  Mine is in June too (the 28th, the 21st is actually my birthday) and a few dreams along the same lines.  In the last one I was stuck on a bus that was going very slow. It was only an hour before the wedding and nothing, not a thing, was done.  Everyone on the bus kept telling me to calm down.  What!?

Ah the joys of being a DIY bride :-). Like you I have a lot done, but the stress still sneaks in there.

At the end of dream, the bus hit a building (no one hurt) …and then I woke up.

    No symbolism there.

@haker4:  Perfect timing, I had my first wedding nightmare last night. I dreamt my FI got to pick out my dress and I didn’t get to see it until the day of wedding. It was horrifically huge and puffy, like an 80s wedding dress with hot pink velvet trim all over it. I was so upset and took so much time trying to fix the dress that I didn’t have time to do my hair and make up. I remember in the dream it was like 30 or 40 minutes after the ceremony should have started and I just was like I guess I paid for this professional hair and make up for nothing and went to walk down the aisle in a torn up dress, hair in a ponytail and no makeup. I woke up in a sweat and so anxious haha!

I think it happened because I just booked all my bridal salon appointments so wedding dress shopping is on the mind. Smile

@haker4:  I have had about 4 of them.. In the first one, the centerpieces were raggedy sticks and twigs from the backyard thrown into plastic cups.

In the second one, my wedding dress was actually an old fashioned thin silky nightgown with long sleeves and high turtleneck, and I was not wearing a bra.

In the third one, I sent out the invitations but put the RSVP date for after the actual wedding day, so I am standing there ready to get married and the only people there are me, my FI, and my parents.

And in the last one, I wake up like an hour before the wedding, and I start freaking out because obviously I have no time for hair, makeup, etc.  lol

Hahaha, I’ve only had one, and it was a while ago! I always have nightmares though, so I’m sure they’re coming!

I dreamed that I was meeting with the florist, and I was trying to show him my Pinterest on my tablet, but my friend had pinned like… 10000 images onto my wedding board (all of like fonts/alphabets) and I just kept scrolling and scrolling and I couldn’t find my flowers to show the florist! And then I cried, lol.

I had one where FI and I missed half the wedding because we had to fill out paperwork. And we hadn’t gotten any pictures. Then suddenly we were on a train. The end isn’t very nightmarey, just random. The rest of the dream was very stressful though.

    All the time.

I’ve had two kinds. One where FI would turn in to a ragining asshole as soon as we were married- kill our friends, hit me, cheat on me ect. Those ones were horrible, but they stopped ages ago.

Now I have nightmares that I haven’t sent out invites, or I don’t get my hair and make up done, or FI and mum cancelled the venue, the photographer never showed up- stuff like that.

I’ve had some crazy ones as well!

One of them we were at the venue getting ready, and suddenly I realized that guests were arriving and it was time. But I didnt even have my dress or anything on. So we started rushing and then got lost trying to find the ceremony room and by the time we found it, the wedding was already over.

I had another one where it was the day of, and I didnt have anything done. No venue, no dress, nothing. I was my mom and stepdads house (I dont have a stepdad) and my mom started putting chairs around to get ready. Then I was finally ready to get married, and I walked out to see my future husband…. To discover it was my step-brother. I dont have a step-brother.

    Weirdest dream, ever.

I’m glad I’m not the only one! I keep having dreams that it’s suddenly the wedding and something is always left undone.

@allyfally:  That is such a strange dream!

@haker4:  I’ve had three bad dreams about wedding related things that I can remember.

-In one dream, I was dress shopping and everyone wanted me to wear an evergreen ballgown that reminded me of a dress that was worn by one of my 80’s Holiday Barbies. It was literally an 80’s evergreen gown fit for a freaking doll. I was confused but not upset by this dream, as I already had my wedding gown at that time.

-In another dream, when I showed up to my wedding, I had forgotten all of my wardrobe accessories.  I just completely forgot to bring them to Maui. I didn’t have my sash, earrings, bridal thong that’s my something blue, wedding shoes, etc.  I was pretty upset about the sash for a moment, but then I was all gung-ho to be getting married, so I said it was fine and that I’d get married barefoot and without accessories. Then everyone starting offering to lend me their shoes and I woke up.

-The dream that upset me was one where the diamonds started falling out of my ring.  In the dream, I looked down at my hand and saw that one diamond was missing from my halo.  I was a bit upset, so I checked my hand again shortly thereafter, and I noticed that several diamonds were missing.  The next time I looked down, all of the stones were missing from the halo and the diamond band.  Finally, the next time I looked down, the center stone was damaged and the ring metal itself began crumbling. I was very unsettled when I woke up.  I have since heard that a dream like that is similar in origin to the dream where one’s teeth fall out.

Oh gosh I had so many, they usually consisted of me not having my hair or make up done and my bridal party was no where to be seen and I had to get ready by myself and my ex shows up to drive me to the ceremony that started without me. o_O
