Jenelle, from Teen Mom, is from my town...It just gets really crazy watching/reading about this stuff online and I'm like really?? She graduated with my little sister last year and the camera crews were all around...During our 4th of July fireworks, the cameraman walked right past me lol.
I just finished watching a video a girl at work showed me of Jenelle getting in a fight with some other girl...absolutely ridiculous. I promise all of us from NC aren't like that lol.
She really needs to get herself in check. My best friend works at a pharmacy and Jenelle came in the other day...My friend asked for her name (like everyone else when you pick up prescriptions) and Jenelle gave her an ugly look and said "...uh Jenelle Evans?!"
Its just strange for me to see our small town be put all over the media, especially with such a popular show as Teen Mom.
He's not a reality star, but Dave Annable (Brothers and Sisters) went to my college! He MC'd our male beauty pagent (fundraiser for prevent child abuse america) for our sorority!
Bridget Marquardt from Girls Next Door! They even filmed an episode here. :)
Gosselins lived in my hometown (techinically, I think their development counts a nearby village but it's in the greater town area) for most of the filming of the show. I managed to avoid going to the store whenever they were there but I had a few classmates that lived near them, including their next door neighbor. Apparantly they tried to convince the neighborhood boy who does everyone's lawn to mow their lawn for free because they're the Gosslins.
Oh, and their cousins belong to the same pool as my family. According to my mom, the cousins aren't on the best terms with them.
Danny from the Real World. I don't know what season but he was super cute and went out with Melinda.
I went to college with Chris Young (country singer & winner of Nashville Star) one of my sororitys sister's BF of like 5yrs dumped her for Chris's sister... he hung out at the same linedancing bar with us like every wed night
Pumkin from Flavor of Love. I seen her at a gas station with a giant soda and a pack of beer, with her belly all hanging out of her tank top. Super classy. Here she is, for those of you who don't know of her:

There was a one season Bachelor-esque show a few years ago called "Outback Jack" in which girls competed for this Australian dude in the outback. A girl from my town was on it and was one of the finalists. Actually, if I remember correctly, she was the "bitch" of the show.
There's also a girl from here that was on America's Next Top Model. I think her name was Kimberly. She was a few years younger than me, but we volunteered at the same theatre together.
Well since I'm in LA, pretty much everyone...Kardashians' store is one block from my work though, so that's the I'm reminded of most often whenever I go out to lunch and see tourists taking photos in front. This is also a popular residential neighboorhood for the rich and famous so I keep running into the same people over and over again like Tommy Lee, Denise Richards and Scott Baio; who I'm pretty sure all were in a reality show at one time or other. The paparazzi usually wait outside the grocery store or the gas station which is pretty funny to see.
@JennBug89: I think jenelle is the saddest teen mom story. It's like a repeated cycle of extremely bad parenting. My heart hearts for that child. :( I'm sure not all NC girls are like that! I always think of NC girls as sweet!

@JennBug89: haha wow. like your friend was just supposed to know who she is bc she's on teen mom? not everyone enjoys trashy tv as much as i do :) I've heard similar things about katie holmes-- she is from Toledo so I know people who grew up around her and said that she kind of turned into a b-- after getting famous.
As for me? nope! no one from my home town is really famous. There was an episode of 16 and pregnant filmed in the town next to where my husband grew up... but thats about it :)
I watch a lot of reality star based shows on MTV because I like to cathch up with them and she was briefly on a competion show and talked about the divorce kinda sad but he has a temper he was on the same show the year prior and was mean and an a**hole to other people.
Hmm nobody in reality TV. But we have had a few in movies.

Ace from Real World: Paris and then all those challenges was from the town I went to college in. I have a picture of myself with him at the bar he owned. LOL. As far as my hometown, I don't THINK there's any reality stars from there.
Is this the fight you are talking about? If so, this just confirms even more she is such white trash. I really can't stand her now.

@nyebride: Yessss, that's the one! Awful, isn't it? I'm going to have to ask my sister if she recognizes the girl Jenelle was beating up...I can't really see her face, but I don't recognize her name.
@CorgiTales: Yeah, exactly. She thinks she's "hot stuff" around here... My friend just rolled her eyes and was like "Ok, here's your prescription ma'am."

A bunch of people from my high school ended up on reality TV, but none of the successful shows. One girl was on "For Love or Money" and another was on "The Mole."
There are a ton more that I'm forgetting, though.
But I did go to high school with a non-reality celeb: Kelly Ripa.
@meliss: Ditto. Pretty much everyone. There are a few that I guess are closest to me. I live right buy the Hollywood Ink Tattoo parlor (it's actually in the same plaza as my grovery store) so I see tourists and filming often.
I'm also friends with a guy that was on Survivor a few season ago. Oh and unfortunately I went to college with Aubrey O'Day (from that girl band show). I was roomates with her close friend, (and we were both greek), so unfortunately she was around a lot. Does American Idol count as a reality show? I went to high school with a runner up.
Oh, and there are a TON of reality show stars from my home state, because I grew up in Jersey! So there's Jersey Shore, Jerseylicious, Real Housewives of New Jersey, etc.
My high school art teacher was on Survivor. :) (I didn't watch. I've actually never watched an episode of the show, and I didn't want to break my streak.)

I graduated high school with the girl who won that show "the girls of hedsor hall" that was on MTV a few years ago (but I dont think was very popular). I also went to summer camp with eliza orlins from survivor micronesia
@FutureMrsMcDermott: Wow, Pumkin. Too funny. I wasted way more time that I'd like to admit watching Flavor of Love....Flavor of Love 2.....
But sadly (or maybe not so sadly), I can't think of any reality show stars from my hometown.
@bree72: OMG Outback Jack <3 I loved that show so much. Marissa was the bitchy finalist, I will always remember that. It was the first time I'd heard my name on TV lol
A girl I was friends with in college was on an episode of SYTTD. I don't keep in touch with her anymore though.
My hometown has bred several NFL players (3 from my graduating high school class alone), but no reality stars I'm aware of. I see people on house hunters sometimes shopping in the towns near where I grew up, but I've never recognized the people.
I live in NYC now though so I mean you name the show and there's someone from here. I've even met the Countess from Real Housewives of NYC.
Is it strange that i never really think 'reality stars' have a hometown or are real people? In my mind they are born in test tubes and all raised on an obstacle course until it is their time to entertain me on my TV screen ...
@Meowkers: Did you go to high school with Katherine McPhee? I felt bad for her when they did their "visit your hometown" day they normally do for the Top 3 contestants. For everyone else the whole town gathers, people cry, the mayor gives a key to the city, some street is named after the contestant etc...For her there were only like a dozen people. Noone in LA cares because every other person is famous.
The guys from Jackass grew up in the town right next to mine. That's it. lol
Oh! I almost forgot- My family was on the dog whisperer a few years ago! haha, my parents have a little beagle mix named sadie who is scared of trash cans.

One of the guys in my wedding party is going to be on Silent Library this weekend and I work with a girl who was on the Real World like 10 years ago. So random.
A friend of mine's ex-girlfriend was roomates with Melissa Rycroft from The Bachelor & Dancing with the Stars right before she got famous. From what they say, she is a total "B."
