Happy to hear I am not the only one having nightmares! Mine started shortly after I booked the venue! The first one I remember was that my hairdresser forgot to come to our hotel todo my hair until 5 mins before wedding was to start then none of my BMs showed nor did my photographer! Another one I have a lot is that no one will show uP like you! My wedding venue is very close to a few casinos in the area and I keep dreaming that my guests will be too busy gambling and forget to go to the wedding.

Ive heard these are normal so I just try tolaugh at them but damn they are crazy!

Oh gosh, I keep getting one where I show up to my reception to see that my mom changed everything up on me, which is strange because she would never do that in reality.

I had one a couple of nights ago, when I wasn’t very well.

The wrong dress got delivered and it was SUCH a weird dress. It was black velvet from the waist up and the bottom half was bright yellow netting! You could see my underwear through the netting!

I was just starting to freak out about having to get married with my underwear showing when I woke up!

I think it must be because I’ve got my first fitting coming up and I’m worried I won’t like my dress as much this time round! Laughing

I think this is pretty typical. I’ve had nightmares for the last month or so. For me, I know that it’s usually something that I’ve just checked off of my to-do list. It could be residual concern for things going wrong. I think nightmares are pretty normal when you have something big going on in your life.

Just last night, I dreamt that I couldn’t get my hair done, and it looked like some horrible gelled-down bird’s-nesty thing. I was so mad, but couldn’t fix it. This is odd because I’ve already set things up with a stylist, but also because if something was weird, I’m not too bad and doing hair myself.

I have nightmares that I  Forget to send out invitations. I’m not getting married for along time so I can only imagine what’s going to come next.

omg.. i am glad i am not the only one. I can stop with the nightmares. They are not always the same problem, but they always end the same way with me freaking out major bridezilla style on everyone there. I am  hoping they dont get worse before they get better!

Yep I sure am having them. In the most recent one, it’s time for the wedding and NOTHING is done, guests are arriving, there are no decorations for the ceremony, I’m in shorts and a tank top with no makeup on and my hair not even WASHED much less done and for some reason, the items for the reception like food, beverages and favors didn’t make it and there is no cake/cupcakes. I guess it’s the overwhelming amount we have to do and with our schedules, it’s going to be a challenge but I KNOW it will get done and I KNOW this won’t really happen. I am too Type A to let it. I keep having dreams that our families take us out to look at venues and then they just start the wedding when we get there. Nobody is there or ready or anything, they force us to get married and the preacher isn’t even there yet.

Turns out FI has been having them too. I’m a worrier also, so I know that my worries are just creeping their way into my dreams, and I know that my worries are also creeping their way into FI’s dreams too, but at least that proves he’s listening sometimes!

I have had a couple of nightmares.  In one, not a single person danced at my wedding all night.  In the other, it was a few minutes before I had to leave for the ceremony and my wedding dress was missing

YES! all concerning my attire. ARRGG

firs one- I forget to pick up the dress and i’m at the hotel where we’re staying for the wedding night, which is where i’ll be getting ready. I have no clothes with me and i’m in my pajamas. It’s already time to leave for the church, so i have to go in my pajamas or there will be no wedding. They are not even real pj’s, just some baggy huge sweat pants and a worn out skin tone large t-shirt (eww)

second one- I foget it’s my wedding day and so does my whole family, and we remember just at the time when we should be leaving for church (half hour drive), or I won’t get there in time and the priest won’t marry us. I can put the dress on because i have it, but since I forgot to go to the hotel, I missed the appointment with hair dresser/make up artist which was meeting me there and I have to put the dress on and get in the car. My hair is all greasy and gross… full of knots in a nasty pony tail and my face, well… i din’t even remove my makeup from the day before so there’s mascara all over, dry skin, bags unde eyes, morning breath… no shower either.

GROSS

i talked to my sister after a few of these (she’s a psycologist) and she said it was perfectly normal 🙂 so I feel a little better (LOL)

I’ve had two. The first was that the wedding day was here, and I had either forgotten or just for some reason decided not to do anything to prepare for it. And all these people were assembling, and I had no dress, no decorations, no entertainment…nothing.

The second was that I went to visit my reception venue and they had “remodelled” it by painting the walls stark white, taking down all the art, chandeliers, etc, and covering the wood floors in industrial grade carpeting, so it just looked like a conference room. And I couldn’t get out of my contract!!

Really not looking forward to what my brain comes up with over the next 8 months.

I read somewhere that someone actually did this and it’s terrified me ever since:

I’m afraid everything will go according to plan except that we’ll forget to send invitations. I’ve woken up SWEATING more than once.

Is that even real? Is that something you can even forget? IT HAUNTS ME.

@sweetcrackers:  Oh dear, that would SUCK!!!!!!  I guess you’d get to eat a lot of cake, though! 🙂

I’ve had one recurring nightmare for years, way before even being engaged.  I am getting ready to walk up the aisle, and I realize that I forgot to order flowers, so I have no bouquet.  It’s the same stinking bouquet dream every time!
