I was having particularly hard waiting dayS(!) yesterday and the day before. Today, I’m feeling more calm, but it’s never a completely easy day. I’ve been sooo good about not saying anything or bringing anything up, so I know exactly how you’re feeling.

oh man, I am having one of the WORST waiting days that I’ve had in a loooong time. Started with innocently checking out the Bee boards, then went on to looking at rings, then weddinggawker, then at dresses, then at pinterest.  I’ve spent more time than I care to admit gawking and obsessing about wedding stuff today.

I blame it on him coming up with an idea to go to NYC on Labor Day weekend.  Of course I automatically assume ANY vacation suggestion is a potential engagement opportunity.

Bah!  Hurry up already!!!!

YES. But i have to remind myself that everything happens in its time…and a bunch of other silly motivational crap. including the fact that I now laugh at a lot of things that I thought were really important a few years ago. So hopefully someday I’ll laugh about this πŸ™‚

Ugh I was having a day like that yesterday. We went out to a friends for a BBQ . SO got drunk and proposed to me… On his knee and all ( it was a joke) I thought it was cute and he’s never done it before ( dating for 5 years) it actually made me feel better. I feel like he was testing it out lol!!! And so’s best friend kept saying ” he’s saving for something BIG” eeeek!

I hear ya, Seashells – I also go from being calm to occasionally just plain PO’d on what seems like a lack of movement forward.  I notice this happens when I have more time to think about it (correction, when I’m not prioritizing work!), but I generally feel a growing sense of ADD (though I’m not seriously diagnosed, I think I’m a good candidate right now), anxiety and impatience with each passing week…my appetite has even declined, which rarely happens.  Yesterday I was on YouTube watching engagement videos (don’t do this unless you feel the need for a good cry) – then I realized anyone with a video falls into a niche category of “best engagements ever,” so I shouldn’t be setting my expectations too high.  The simple question would be nice πŸ™‚  So yes, I’m experiencing a similar type of day, but I am grateful for my mother who iistens patiently to me and anxiously awaits the proposal day too.

@GirlNextDoor ohhh man, I am constantly watching proposal videos on youtube and bawling my eyes out.

Some days really are hard, but I just remind myself that when it comes, it’ll be totally worth the wait.
