Mother Nature dropped some more white crap on us last night and it’s just supposed to get worse as the day goes on. Every school district in the area is closed. My town is in a state of emergency. They estimate another 1″-3″ per HOUR until late morning. The news is considering this a “snow BOMB”.
Thankfully I have a work laptop and am able to work from home so I’ll be staying in my nice cozy robe all day.
Anyone else avoiding the snow and staying home today?

Wow! That is crazy! We had a snow day yesterday. We got 3″ of snow, which for my area isn’t major, but enough to call off school. I’m a teacher, so I don’t mind the snow too much :-). Enjoy your day! We’re back in action.

I’m sitting on the couch debating if I should go in. My trains ARE running, but on a local, weekend schedule instead of the usual weekday, express. It will take me about 2 hours to get to work (instead of 1 hour), so technically I’m already late… Plus they have been known to suspend the trains entirely if it gets bad, I don’t want to be stuck in my office without a way home!
…. I think I’m giving myself a snow day.

I wish …. we were supposed to wake up to a deluge … they even let schools out yesterday and hour early … for threat of snow….. it didn’t start snowing till 7pm and there’s barely anything on the ground now ……. I NEED a snow day!! lol

Snow day here!!!! Yip Yip!
Oh and its not by choice…my job is closed because of the storm.

No snow today for us. But the credit union doesn’t open till 930 today. I sorta wish it was snow though because we now have ice and that is worst. Because basically everything that melted yesterday has now refroze. Fun stuff!

Snow day for me. But we didn’t get as much as we expected. Not everything on the ground from the past two snow storms has completely melted so it was just dumped right on top.

We have so much snow, still coming down. I literally cannot open my front door. It’s blocked by snow!
hmmm…wonder when I’ll get out there to shovel.

Yeah, I’m not going anywhere. 11 inches already @ 8AM and not slowing down anytime soon…

Well its coming down like crazy here in CT, we have like 14+ in so far and more to come… my office is closed today 🙂 but i’ll be working from home for a bit… I’m so sick of snow!!!!!!

Oh yes. We already cleared a foot of snow this AM and may have another six inches now.

We only got 6 inches. Most schools have 2 hour delays. I used to work at a school and they are closed today: BUMMER! Now I work at a University and we are open and here I am in my office typing away!

Georgia doesnt know what they are doing when it comes to snow/ice removal.

I’d estimate we’re probably close to a foot and a half right now. The news is saying we should get close to another foot by the time the snow tapers off! Thankfully our condo association handles all of the shoveling and plowing so I won’t be leaving my cozy couch at all today!
Our normal commute is usually about 45 minutes. One of our co-workers (FI and I work for the same company) lives a few minutes from us and he said it took him 2 1/2 hours to get in. No thank you!

Several of my co-workers seem to have one- but I am at my desk- not working yet though
