Me me! I told FI to plan the whole thing on his own and I didn't want to know where we are going.
Well, now it's planned and I'm BURSTING at the seams to find out what it is. But I'll try to keep the surprise for myself as long as possible.
I totally want to do this! Haha, my SO would have so much fun planning it, I'm sure! :)
@R.Elliott: I am DYING to know where we are going! All I know is that we are flying out of JFK, it will be 12 days, and they need my passport information for booking. I keep trying to research based on that information, but alas, I am not coming up with anything! hahahahaha
When are you going to find out?????
I don't know we haven't figured that out yet. Maybe the day we leave? I already know it is tropical and I'll need my passport...so I'll be able to pack pretty easily without knowing.
Oh and it isn't somewhere we've been before (Mexico).
I actually brought up the fact that J and I need to figure out where we should go on our honeymoon. He rolled his eyes considering we still have awhile until our wedding. But I told him that I was just curious as to where he would like to go. His words were "maybe it'll be a surprise." I got excited at that thought. I love when he plans things on his own. It shows he wants to be involved in a way and will do anything to torture me! :P
I just told my FI to take control of the Honeymoon, I found myself stressing out over travel agents, hotels, etc. I realized that in a way since I was so into the wedding planning by sticking my nose into the honeymoon I was taking something away from him and his contribution to the planning process. Here's hoping he does a great job :)
My honeymoon will be a surprise. My FI LOVES surprises, so it was no surprise (har har) that our honeymoon will be a surprise. For our engagement, he called me at work asking if I could take off the day after labor day (mind you, this was 4 days before labor day) then emailed me a Travelocity itinerary 10 minutes later for a flight to Orlando that weekend. We got engaged in the Magic Kingdom.
I asked my FI when I'll find out and how we will plan logistics (me taking off work the correct number of days, knowing what to pack for) and he said "don't worry about it." I asked him when I'll find out where we are going, and he said, "oh, maybe at the rehersal dinner!"
I'm hoping for Disneyland!
Originally our honeymoon was going to be a surprise but I then figured it out... we are going back to where he asked me to marry him... DISNEY WORLD! (my favorite place in the whole world! lol). Although I know where we are going hes planning everything we will be doing :).

A few months ago Miss Cardigan blogged about Mr. Card surprising her with their honeymoon. Well I thought it was a super cute idea so I told my FI that we should do it too! About 5 minutes later I freaked out and realized that I couldnt give up that much control over it.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago when my FI mentions the honeymoon and I was like, yeah we really need to discuss what we are doing! Well it turns out he forgot that I didnt want it to be a surprise anymore and planned the thing! So I have no clue where we are going! I know that it is going to be awesome and he keeps gushing about how amazing it is going to be, but it is still scary and nerve racking!
Have any of you give full control over the honeymoon or are having it be a surprise??????? Anyone?!
