We have 3 weddings to go to, plus our own. It seemed like getting engaged was an epidemic that everyone was catching. Ours is the last one of the year. My FI’s sister is also getting married a couple of months before us. At one point I was just ready to postpone our wedding until sometime in 2012, it felt like too much stress! but then I thought, why should we? No one else postpone their wedding! We are as excited as they are!
So tell me!

@loveknows: Exactly; don’t postpone!!!
My brother and my FI’s nephew proposed to their girlfriends right after my Fiance proposed to me last year. We wanted to get married in 2011, but then my brother wanted to, and I was like “maybe we’ll push it to 2012…” Then my brother went ahead and got married last year (they decided to do a small 20-person wedding for financial reasons), so we were like, “great, we’ll get married in Sept of 2011”. Then my nephew-to-be announced they would be getting married in Sept. of 2011. Arrrg. Have I mentioned I’ve been with my Fiance for 5 years, and my brother and nephew were going on one with their SOs? Anyway, we decided, “to hell with it; we’re getting married in Oct.”
Anyway, I like the advice a lot of other bees give. Marriages happen all the time. You get one day. Not a year or a month or a week. I’m done working my wedding around other people’s schedules. 😛

Besides the Bee weddings I’m crashing, we have one in May, one in July and one in September.
But since my best friend got engaged last night (!!!!!!!!!!!!) there may be one more in the mix.

I just attended one in August, mine is in June and there are two more in July. I think my Maid/Matron of Honor is planning on getting married in the fall of this year (she’s not officially engaged yet, but that doesn’t mean anything). There is still plenty of time for more to pop up!

Yep! I attended the wedding of a friend last July, missed my cousin’s wedding in August, attended my brother’s wedding also in August, attended my MIL’s wedding in October, attended my friend’s wedding in November, our wedding was this past weekend, and my MOH’s wedding is in May. Whew… thats a lot of weddings going on! 🙂

Tis the season for sure! If they’re not popping out babies or getting engaged, they’re getting married! I have at least 5 friends who have gotten engaged (not including myself 😉 ) since Christmas, 4 babies have been born, and I have one wedding in June and THREE (3) WEDDINGS IN A ROW this fall. 8/27, 9/3 and 9/10. Good lord!

We have five weddings this year besides our own, all from July to October, so it’s going to be a busy couple of months!

We have five weddings this summer; it’s crazy! One friend is getting married in Montana in May, another one in Wyoming in June. My sister’s getting married in July, and then we have a local wedding the weekend after that. And my other sister is getting married in Spain in August. Whew! We’re going to be all wedding-ed out after this summer!

There are 4 weddings other than ours. But we will be missing my Cousins wedding because it is in MI and we can’t afford to travel for it. I wish we could though! I want to see it!

I have five weddings including my own. Mine is the last of the season and when I freak out about ours not being good enough my Fiance reminds me that we’re saving the best for last. 🙂

Fiance and I had never been to a wedding together before, and this year it seems like nothing but weddings–even our friends who aren’t engaged yet can’t stop talking about it!
