Well my fiance’ and I have decided to have an engagement party on the 22nd of this month. I talked to my wedding planner and she said its like the trial before the actual wedding. Our guest list is pretty comfortable about 60 people. It is going to be outdoors, like our wedding, and at the same park we are getting married. It is so beautiful. Since planning I keep thinking I am forgetting something. I have the cake, decor, food, utensils, drinks, music, and games. My fiance’ and I will be wearing bride and groom t shirts and hats since it is casual. Is there anything I am missing? I am also curious to know if anyone is having an E-Party!!

We had a really casual engagement party thrown for us right when we got engaged. Guests were invited over FB, it was held in a private section of a restaurant, people purchased their own food/drinks, friends bought us cake/balloons, some brought gifts, cards, but overall very casual. It was fun to have people there celebrating our engagement.
My only pet peeve was that our friends that hosted didn’t know to ask us for our wedding guest list and invited people we didn’t plan on inviting to our wedding (luckily they didn’t show up). . .make sure you only invite people you’re 100% sure you’ll invite to your wedding so that people aren’t hurt later.
Sounds like your party will be fun. . .have a great time!

- Wedding: November 2012 - Country Club
We are having one at the end of next month. It will be around 50 people, mostly family and our wedding party. In a private area of a restaurant, we will serve heavy appetizers and have a cash bar. We live out of town, so I am really excited to go home and visit with my family and friends. His family lives far away, so I am hoping his parents will come so my parents and I can meet them!
