Mine have really kicked up a notch in the last week or so (31 weeks here). Just last night I decided to go ahead and download an app to count contractions to see how frequent they were coming. I get maybe 3/hour for an hour or two and then nothing for another hour or two.
Mine are coming all the time and I'm 34 weeks. I'd not heard the 5/hour thing, but they're everyday and pretty frequent. They're not regular though and I know they're not the real contractions because not all of them are one minute long and they're not as painful and I don't get the endorphine kick from them. However, I did drop over the weekend which could mean Wombat may come early. Thank you stress.
I havent had a single one and Im almost at 35 weeks! . And Im monitored every two weeks minimum, even the doctors dont see them. Im kind of jealous lol
I haven't had any either. :( I'm 28wks and I thought I'd have something, at least one by now.
I'm 26 weeks and was directed by my doctor at my last appointment (about a week and half ago) to monitor them since I just started feeling them. She gave me the same guideline but it was 4 in an hour.
Some women get to feel a lot of them and others don't. I guess that's the same darn "everyone is different" info! :)
I didn't have any until 37 weeks, and then bam! I had timeable, regular contractions like every day until I delivered. BH contractions are good, even though it can be annoying; your body is getting ready for the big event!
I haven't experienced them yet, I'm 32 weeks. My (newest) concern is that I won't really be able to tell the difference between BH contractions and the real thing. My doctors have said it's rare that you don't know but it's still my concern.
Do the baths and fluids help a lot?
I never had any with my first pregnancy. But with this one (2nd) I am having them, not everyday- maybe every other day, 2 to 3 in an hour, then they stop. I am 30 weeks.
@jennifer_espos: For a long time, drinking lots of water really helped them go away, and it was a great hint that I should be careful about hydration. Now, it doesn't matter. I was practically floating yesterday and still having them. The bath did help, though.

I'm 33 weeks and have been having a bunch of BH for the past month or so. My kiddo is super active too and I tend to tune out all the craziness going on in my belly, but I'm having another night with enough BH's to have to keep track just to make sure I'm not at 5/hr or more. I'm betting I have 10+ a day, every day, and then every so often, a night of clustered BH"s where I have to keep track, drink extra water and take a bath until they decrease.
Anyone else have BH's this frequently, this regularly? My midwives aren't concerned (as long as I'm not having 5/hr+) and I keep reminding myself it's good, but boy, the frequency is nuts!
