So I am having 3 favors. First and foremost, I want to say, I feel VERY terrible about the reasoning. So a friend of mine was supposed to get married this past July, but her fiance cancelled 3 days before. GASP!!! She told me she couldn’t stand to look at the wedding things anymore, and to get them OUT OF HER HOUSE! So since our colors were the same, I took them off her hands. Gosh I feel like a terrible person in a way. Anywho, she gave me her favors which were coasters that you can put a picture in, and bubbles. Well I had already planned on having a candy bar. I had even bought bowls for it already. She also was having a candy bar. I got her bowls and bags too. Am I have TOO many favors? Anyone else having more than one?

Gosh, I feel so sorry for your friend. That must have been a horrible ordeal for her! In a way, I am sure she is happy that her favors won’t go to waste….
Three sounds like a lot, but the candy will be eaten, the bubbles used… so the “sensible” coaster is the only trinket that will survive long past the wedding. So if I look at it this way, I think you could pull it off.
I’m still undecided about favors. I don’t have anything specific that I want to give everyone, so I might just go without. But we’ll have several cakes- the big wedding cake and some smaller home-made cakes and pies (from my fiancé’s aunts who live close to the venue)… does that count? 😉

I’m not getting married in September but I’m still doing two favors 😉
One is a succulent plant in a glass jar that also doubles as the centerpieces, and the other is a candle from my candle shop.

@SnowflakeDS: Sounds yummy!! Sure, that counts! If that’s what you were going for haha. I know I felt terrible in a way, but we are paying her for them so I don’t feel SO terrible about it.

@KristenGotMarried: Also, I have no idea why I put this under the “September” tag.

We are having 3 too! Our reasoning is a bit off though. At first we had 1..I am making small jars of hommade jelly for everyone. Then my Fiance wanted can koozies bacuse everyone else does them. And now we decided, since some extra money came into our budget, we can afford a photo booth that we couldn’t afford before! So 3 it is!

I moved this to the favors board for you 🙂 Sorry to hear about your friend, that’s awful.
I had two favors. We gave everyone a little jar of homemade caramel, and we also gave a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society in honour of my grandmother who couldn’t make it to the wedding. We also had bubbles at the ceremony, but I didn’t really think of those as favours.

We had Honey Jars and a dessert table with TONS of diff desserts with little boxes and bags to take them home in.

We’re hopefully having 2. We’re doing the candy buffet and *hopefully* doing a photobooth but we’ll have to see where the budget is before we decide on the photobooth.

We have silk fans on the chairs in case it gets warm (plus it looks really cool)
Antique handkerchiefs in case you get teary eyed
the skeleton key on your seating chart
and then the actual favor which are french pastilles in tins in an organza bag with handmade organza flower pins that can be removed and worn (the flowers will all be silver to match the bag)
So yeah I went overboard but I like all my details
And I figure I can resell some of the stuff if it does not get taken or we can just eat the french mints – love those LOL LOL LOL

We’re kinda doing 2 favors. Our REAL favors will be small boxes of Hershey kisses/hugs on the tables at each place setting labeled “Hugs & Kisses from the new Mr. and Mrs.” We wanted something simple, inexpensive and edible!
But we’re also asking creating CDs of songs chosen by us and our bridal party… for instance, our first dance song, both our sets of parents wedding songs and then favorite love songs from each bridal party member. I loved the idea of CDs but didn’t feel like everyone would want one or even need one (like a couple wouldn’t need 2!)… so we decided to make some CDs to leave in a basket by the guest book for people to take if they want one. =)

We are doing 3 favors, I guess. We are giving everyone 5 jordan almonds in a pretty bag, making a donation to The White Knot, and having a “cookie bar” with bags. We are also giving everyone an Out of Town bag (having a DW). So I guess we really have 4 favors.
I don’t think having too many favors is a bad thing…. especially if you can take a bad situation and make something good out of it!

I think your different favors are great! Some stuff I never even considered favors, like pictures from a photo booth but they are, huh!
I already know I am doing a candy bar, candy apples which I might attach to my place cards, and also cake bags/boxes by the door for guests to grab on their way out. Also, Fiance wants cigars so we may have 4 favors!

We are having 2 favors: photobooth and candy jars for our guests to fill with candy from our candy buffet.
