    Hi Chelsea,

I saw the same post by NYBrideCindy. I also checked out the website now and it looks like it would be an interesting event.

I'm just waiting on an answer to a question I asked Cindy, about whether or not there are other fees involved when you get in, to decide if I am going to sign up. Does anyone else know?

I looked at the website too, I'm not going to sign up, but i will swing by to check out what they have. I don't want to get locked into anything.

I just took a look at this and it looks like it would be fun.

That's a good point that you made MissAsscher about getting "locked in". Can we just walk in?

ok I checked it out in greater detail, you do have to rsvp but I may not sign up for an individual mini consultation. I just want to see what they have and how affordable, I'm not ready to make any plans or decisions. I don't even know what i want, just ideas for now.

    Hi ladies,

I put up the original post about the event.

MissAsscher - I've been talking a lot about this event with my friend since she works there.

There are two options for signing up (both are free)

    1) RSVP - just to let them know ahead of time how many people they should expect

    2) Mini-Consult - You just fill out a form that tells them a little about what you're interested in, etc so that they can put together some ideas for you.

As for the "locked in" aspect, trust me when I say that this is NOT that kind of store!

They're so nice and never hard-sell. That's the main reason why I kept on coming back. I hate feeling pressured into buying anything. The staff there at the Village Invites actually made me feel like I was chatting with a girlfriend who was very knowledgeable about their stock.

Plus, they especially wanted this to be kinda like a "social" event where brides can just come together and have a good time. You can even just come in and take a look at their stuff or just come in mainly for the food and chatting with other brides.

Hope this helped! Smile Let me know if you have any other questions!

    -Cindy

    Thanks for the clarification Cindy!

Is it too late to still sign up for this?

No. It's not too late to sign up. They are taking RSVPs all the way up to the event this Wednesday, the 16th.

I thought I should point out that Rbertstein79 and nybridecindy share the same IP.  So do weddingbeecw and cmui22.

We deleted some of the other threads they had jointly created on the subject, but new posts keep appearing.

    Dear Mr. Bee,

Don't you think this is really rude to be posting these messages about me without private messaging me first? Since you choose to take this route, I will address you publicly as well.

I created this account over the weekend as a way to learn more about wedding related things and connect with my other bride friends. If you would have messaged me privately, you would have learned that nybridecindy is a friend of mine. She was the one who told me and some of our other friends about your site -which was the only way we even heard about it and decided to create accounts together.

Regarding the IP addresses, did it ever occur to you that we were at each other's houses? Or is there a restriction on that too?

Excuse me but I thought that this site was created to encourage brides to share information with each other. I didn't know we would be monitored and be so rudely accused publicly in your forums!

I am really appalled by this.

RBernstein79 - We normally PM users discreetly about matters like this... but since both accounts were brand new and had been used only to promote this event, we showed less latitude.

I did not accuse you of anything btw... I just pointed out that both accounts shared the same IP.  I thought readers might want to know this, before making a decision about whether or not to attend the event you had both mentioned.
