Ugh, it is currently pouring outside with crazy winds, and its sposed to be like this for most of the week. I am so over the rain, I hope my garden doesn't die from oversaturation!

I know! It's pouring here (and thundering) like crazy on my office roof. I feel like the roof is going to cave in!!! My flowers are definitely not going to do well with all this rain. :(

We already had about 5 inches of rain since Saturday night and now this...ugh!

@MrsSl82be: we lost power last night.  It was romantic and rainy for about two seconds, now it's just annoying.

@Aubergold: I hope we don't lose power! I'll be pissed if so ...

I'm loving the rain though. Ever since living in a dessert, I really appreciate rain!

YES!  I'm near Baltimore and just told FI that I feel like we've had these storms every single day for several weeks now!

@Aubergold: oh no, that sucks! The only good thing about it is at least its no longer in the 100s!  We are lucky that we don't lose power for storms, only a flicker to 2.  Now, I am knocking on wood that it doesn't happen!!

@daydreamwanderer: I don't know if I could make it in the desert. I'm sure you could be seen outside dancing in this rain, me thinks :)

The kids were less than happy that their amusement park trip was rescheduled. But we were not paying all that money to have them jsut stand there and duck and cover all day. Let's hope next weekend is better :)

@HoneyBear: I'll try to do a rain dance or something! I am a little upset at hubs though, he never got the second rain barrel up in time, so I'm hoping he does it today or tomorrow so I can get more rain saved. At least its pretty much off and on, but its been pretty bad for the past 45 mins or so, and just had some crazy thunder shake my house!!

@Storm0075: oh that stinks! Where were they going? They don't even keep the water park open when its raining this time! At least its rescheduled, and not canceled

@HoneyBear: couple of years ago I was at a farm show in Moultrie, GA and they stopped the show at noon to pray for rain. At 4pm the heavens opened and it poured for days.  I wonder what would happen if those folks focused on world peace.....

It's been pouring off and on for hours here. Like sheets and sheets of rain coming down. Our parking lot is having a bit of a flooding issue right now. Thank goodness my car sits up relatively high off the ground!

And if the DC area loses power, PEPCO better hope that the traffic lights on 29 stay operational. If they don't, they are going to have 1 ticked off fiance to deal with. that ish turns Mr. Lk's commute into a 3-4 hour long ordeal.

@lovekiss: ugh, PEPCO is horrible from what I've heard. As much as i dislike BGE, I am glad I have them instead of PEPCO.  I am hoping that all power stays on until all Bees and SOs make it home safely!!

@MrsSl82be: Chocolate World. I am afraid to look at the forecast for next weekend. School starts soon after that so there will not be many opportunities left.

I will take it! It has benn 105+ here for weeks and some of the lakes are 30 or more feet low because of the lack of rain.

@MrsSl82be: I wear them too, but I had to take them off because I was more blind with them than without! It was pretty quiet, so I felt okay (I was out at 6 am yesterday, haha). Ran into one of my neighbors walking his dog and he just burst out laughing. I was literally dripping.

@MrsSl82be: Oh it is still pretty dark downtown. I just hope we get a respite between 3:30 and 6:30. Wouldn't that be nice? So almost everyone could make it home safely.
