I wouldn't say I follow it closely enough to have a favorite, but I love watching whenever I catch a competition on TV. I can barely stay on my feet when I am on skates...it's so impressive to watch what these atheletes can do!
I don't follow figure skating by any means, but if I'm channel surfing and catch it I'll usually end up watching for while. I'm watching on NBC right now while I do some homework for my online class (and procrastinate on weddingbee of course) ;)
I used to love figure skating when I was a kid.
Shout out to Kristi Yamaguchi and Scott Hamilton!
I love watching it and I used to take classes, but I was never quite able to psych myself up for the big jumps.
@sarahcisme: I'm doing the same thing. A lot less online class, a lot more WB and tv. 
When I was a kid, I would love watching figure skating. I always wanted to be one. I loved watching Kristi Yamaguchi and Michelle Kwan.
Oh and gymnastics... I loved watching that too. I remember doing cartwheels, round offs and flips during recess during elementary school.
I don't follow it. I don't know when it on but when I'm flipping through channels, if I see gymnastics or figure skating, I will definitely be watching.
I love Scott Hamilton. And that guy from Canada, what's his name? A friend of Scott's. Amazing footwork. I like Johnny Weir. OK, so I prefer watching the guys (have you seen their butts???!!!) I'll be watching tonight though.

Haha, yep I'm definitely watching it right now. I don't "follow" it, but whenever I see it's on I usually tune in.
I used to watch it ALL THE TIME when I was a little girl. Then I tried skating, and realized I suckeddddd at it. :)
@yrret107: I love gymnastics too! When I was a little kid, I was in our kitchen doing twirls and stuff on the tile in my slippers because I wanted to be a skater/gymnast. I slipped and fell, hitting my face on the table leg and busting my lip up. My parents said it was scary, but kinda funny that I was playing ice skater being the klutz I am!

I haven't watched figure skating in years (we don't have a tv - well, we have the screen, just not the channels). I figured skated as a kid (10-14) and loved watching it on tv because I knew what they were doing and could do most of what they were doing (singles only, not double, triple jumps!). I started skating again in college and took lessons for a few years. I stopped because I'm afraid of falling now...but I'm going to start skating again - it's a good work out!
I haven't watched it in years, but when I was a kid Kristi Yamaguchi was my hero.
I love figure skating! Is this on Sunday or tomorrow? I might have to DVR this :-)

I'm such a dork, but I've always loved figure skating. This weekend the US Champsionships are on NBC. The women's short program and ice dancing finals were on earlier, now I'm watching the women's long program. It's a really good year, with the winners of the last 3 years all in the top 3 tonight.
Anyone else a figure skating fan? Have a favorite?
