I know what you mean although for me its a bit different. I haven’t been able to get a pedicure cuz I am trying to get rid of a wart that i got on the bottom of my foot (most likely from a public pool).

Looking forward to be debt free so I can buy a new car.  Mine is 6 years old and paid off…… but just can’t wait to get something nicer.

We’re going on our honeymoon next week and then buying a house…so I anticipate being broke for awhile.  Sigh…

I’m just looking forward to a time when I can have a real anything…

I chose a low earning profession. I get that. I wouldn’t change it. But as I approach 30 and I still buy most of my clothes off ebay or in Primark, I feel increasingly as if I am waiting to become a “real adult”, you know? With a real wage. Who can afford to treat FI to the occasional meal out, or to drive a car which is younger than 10 years old, etc etc.

Hey now, what is wrong with Primark! Whenever my parents come back from London they always have the most awesome loot from there haha.

No, but seriously I know what you mean. To be able to buy adult clothes at a swanky boutique would be nice. To not have to constantly worry about how much money you have (or dont).

I am having a courthouse wedding because of money issues.

haha yes! I hear you on the pedi! I usually have gel nails and it keeps my nails so smooth, this morning I had a jagged edge on one of my nails and when I went to pull a blouse out of the closet I snagged the fabric! haha the first thought was OMG I can’t wait to get my nails done! then I was like…wow I’ve become spoiled…but either way I am ready for wedding saving to be over!!

I am, so much. Although I’m fairly young (23) I’m looking forward to being able to do “adult” things like shop in real stores (vs target) for clothes and things like that. My dog is also costing us a couple grand in vet bills, so we’re even more broke than we already were. 🙁

@Cupcakegurl:  Hahahaha! This made me laugh because my fiance just started at his new job where he is almost making double what he was before with the potential to make even more and we are on the road back to where we were before we moved halfway across the country. Yesterday after doing our budget for the next 3 months I texted him “We aren’t broke anymore! WE CAN BUY STUFF!!” Hahaha.

Ugh, we are somewhere between 5k-7k in the negative… I don’t know how I managed to avoid realizing it for so long. I thought the cash would magically appear from somewhere. Well it will! It will magically appear in our wedding account from my savings account. Not a good feeling!

I will be happy to not have to put every extra penny towards a wedding, but I still have thousands in student loans to pay off. Then, we will buy a house so I’ll definitely be broke for quite some time!
