Hahahah, I love this song too! I usually sing it to my fiance like this: "Yeah, he liked it and he put a ring on it" and then obnoxiously wave my hand in the air...HA!
i love that song too. it's really fun and great to wriggle to. and provided so many fantastic opportunities for one liners for me and my guy. "don't worry, he's gonna put a ring on it!"
The SNL skit with Justin Timberlake dancing to it as her "backup dancers" is pretty hilarious. Check it out on youtube!

Anyway, I love that song--and naturally I've told C what my favorite line from that song is: "If you liked it then you should've put a ring on it"!
I have a rather unhealthy obsession with that song. My FSIL and I spent a day in NYC last fall when it had just come out and it was on freaking everywhere - we jammed most of the day and I think it was good luck. I'm engaged and she just got married! So, perhaps it's a good song to be jamming to :)
i love that song, but everytime i hear it now i think of the football team dancing to it on glee!
I actually didnt like the song when it first came out..now i think its pretty catchy, i mean it IS the best video of all time..ALL OF TIME! (Thanks Kanye ;))
Oh man, am I really the only one who HATES it! I was annoyed with it when it first came out and now I hear it EVERY weekend at EVERY wedding for the boquet toss... it comes on and I feel like there are nails on a chalkboard....
I like beyonce... I just can't stand that song....
I love it, and I especially love the video. whenever I am stressed out, I watch the video on youtube. I can't get enough of it. I am, however, totally not into playing it during the bouquet toss though. I am not into the bouquet toss in general though so maybe that's why. I always hated it when I was single.
We love the song, but for a different reason. My FI sometimes refers to me as "Single A" (instead of Triple A b/c he doesn't drive and if I have to rescue him if he has bike problems, I become Single A). Anyway, I don't think "Single Ladies" is that clear in the song, so for the longest time, I thought she was singing "All the Single As." I couldn't figure out why. Plus, my first initial is A, so we have lots of fun with the song. So, we call it the Single A song.
Glee was the first time I heard that song (actually, the only time - hey, I live in another country, cut me some slack!), and I loved it. :)

@daydreamwanderer - totally understand...ironically enough, i introduced my mom to Glee 2 weeks ago, as she had never heard of the series since she lives in another country! =)
At first, this song annoyed me but then it started growing on me. Now, I kinda like it. My husband likes to tell me "I liked it so I put a ring on it". ;)

justin timberlake has been winning me over lately with the humor. he's always great on snl and i am also giggling over the sony commercials with him on the panel with peyton manning and other random celebrities. cracks me up everytime!
funny story about the song, BF and i picked out the ring (i just don't have it yet!) and when he went in to make a payment he told me that the song was playing in the jewelery store. he said it was a sign and started laughing while in there. even beyonce wants him to get his butt in gear.
On the new Chipmunks movie the girl Chipmunks were singing it. I want to see that movie now LOL

KLP2010- Nope, you aren't the only one. I hate it, but then I'm not a Beyonce fan. But I do like the Sweet deams/beautiful nightnamre, whatever it's called song, and I never like anything of hers. I love THAT song.lol
JMC- I hate bouquet tosses also. People saying go out there. Maybe I'm a party pooper, but I don't ppl trying to force me out there. 
i soo love this song so much because it hits the sentiment right on the nose! i've never heard a better truism when it comes to relationships, and i don't even like beyonce that much!
Yes, I like this song. I'm a Beyonce fan, so I course I'd like it. However, it has been played soooo much, I do get a little frustrated when I hear it over and over again. Mainly because I played it out for months after the CD was released. It was a little bit too much and at that time I was not even thinking about a man "putting a ring on it."

YES!!!! I always listen to the radio when I shower, and it always seems to be playing when I'm in there... I come out dancing and singing it and my bf just shakes his head. He say's I plan it to come on while he waits for me to get ready! I say it's just a nudge in the right direction!

Oh don't get me wrong, the lyrics are catchy and quite hilarious (A very nice warning to all the @$$ draggers out there) but the tempo makes me crazy :P
Plus it always annoyed me when I was waiting because I wanted to yell at him, "You hear her?! Even BEYONCE thinks you should PUT A RING ON IT!"
My husband is a HUGE Jay-Z fan, and it just so happens that Jay-Z is married to ONE SMART WOMAN lol :)
i was on FB the other day and an old co-worker friend of mine announced her engagement in her status message by saying "J put a ring on it." i almost died!! it's cliche i know, but i may have to do that myself!!!

I love this song.... Not only does the music make me want to shake my ass but damn are the lyrics great.
Every time it's on and especially when my mans in the room I sing as loud as I can ( by the way--(my voice sucks))
