My common sense tells me its fine. But then there is that tiny voice that says – BUT you might shake it loose! Ugh! Am I the only one that struggles with this? I need some reminders that it’s ok to work out during the TWW 🙂

Me. I usually work out like crazy (usually run 3-5 miles per day and lift weights) but during the TWW i only walk. I knows its not logical but it makes me feel better for some reason!

I definitely struggle with this. But I’ve done a lot of research and talked to my doctor and everything says that it’s totally fine for you to continue to do activity that your body is used to. I’m a runner, obviously lol, so during the TWW I just tend to shorten my runs (3 miles instead of 5, etc.) and I don’t do any crazy long runs. I know that since my body is used to it I probably could but I get scared too!
I used to not exercise at all during that time because I was so scared and I’d come off the TWW feeling bloated and lethargic from lack of activity so now I try to at least do something, even if it’s just taking a long walk with DH!

@Running Elley: that is how i feel too! and then i feel even more upset about a BFN because i feel fat! thank you, i will remember that for when i want to not work out 🙂

@ecomaha: If it makes you feel any better, I didn’t change my workout routine at all, and didn’t shake anything loose. But there was always a slight “whit if” in the back of my mind.

@ecomaha:Exactly LOL Now my jeans don’t fit and I don’t even have a BFP to show for it. Plus, working out really helps me relax and it’s been a godsend during horrible, long and stressful TWWs 🙂

@Running Elley: this is how i feel. every month. jeans don’t fit and no BFP to blame it on. this month i’ve decided to stick to my routine and just work out 2-3 times a week like I normally do. i agree, working out really helps to relax and it helps me to shift my mind to something else than ttc and tww.

If it helps, I worked out during my TWW, and I have continued to work out during my entire pregnancy. So far, nothing has shaken loose 😉 Working out is a good way to relieve stress and keep your body in shape to carry that baby. Also, my doctor says that working out during pregnancy helps to decrease the risk of pre-term labor.
