I was married the first time when I was 25, and had baby fever BAD.  My husband actually let me choose between a new car or a baby.  Needless to say, said baby was born 14 months after the wedding.  Smile

Lol we aren’t even married yet but the subject of children comes up at leas once a week. We’ve decided to wait a year before trying. We dont live together either, I don’t know if we can wait that long!

Lol me too!! You are definitely not alone!  My moh I’d even pregnant right now and FIs mom is dying for one so much so that every year for the last three years she has gotten me a mothers day present and says just to let you know I wouldnt mind.. Wink wink.  We have talked about our timeline and initially agreed to wait so that I can go back to school. But now his gpa (who I am really close to) has copd and it has gotten a lot worse and has had lung cancer twice so I am worried he wont get to meet his only great grandbaby:( when I try to discuss it with my FI ( he is very close to his gpa) he doesnt like to talk about it.  He seems to be in denial and talks like gpa squirrel will be here forever.  He has even started crying at some points so I dont like to bring it up now :/.  But the desire is still there!

Totally! Our wedding is 4 months out, and our plan is to wait about 6 months before trying – we want to have the house settled first (we are renting right now and looking to buy). However, my SIL is expecting and it is not helping at all! I don’t know if we’ll be able to get pregnant (endometriosis) so I don’t want to wait too much longer. However, I’m totally looking forward to having some husband-wife time after the wedding, too.

Me me me! I went through a phase about 3 months ago (like, I would literally keep myself up at night thinking about it!) It went away but now it’s back.

Baby fever is hard to ignore.

@SweetMelissa429:  You are definitely not alone! We are already talking about when we would like to start trying. We were thinking about waiting a few months after we get married, but of course, it depends on what our finances are like at that point. So I say we will probably play it by ear.

Sooooooooo, not alone! I had baby fever SUPER BAD around 6 months ago, to the point that I had to see a counsellor to learn to control my feelings because I was becoming depressed. Since then, we have officially set a wedding date and now I can actually plan  a REAL wedding, not one that is happening “one day”. We have lived together for nearly 3 years, and have been engaged for 1.5 years, so unlike a lot of people, we don’t really need that time to “be married” because we’ve had it for 3 years! lol. Focusing on the wedding planning has been helping to keep me at bay, however the baby thoughts are never far away. I suppose I do still have baby fever, just not to the unhealthy degree that I did before 🙂 I can’t wait to meet our little un-existant baby! hehe.

Yep! We had baby fever bad before the wedding…and got pregnant 3 months before the wedding. Not 100% ideal, but it works!

Good luck!
