Chriod!!! We are deff going through the SAME thing together right now!
My Wedding is April 1st and I have only got 50% of the RSVP's back and my deadline date is the end of this WEEK!! On top of that... I have gotten a few *NO* replies back from friends that I am very close to (or thought I was) with no explination or mention at all why they can't come. Yet these are the girls who comment on my facebook page status EVERY DAY about the wedding coming up and post "how excited" they are. Completely thrown off guard with those NO rsvp's.
I know my wedding is a Friday and I already prepared for some people not to come as well as family, but not my close "girls" who I talk to everyday online (since I recently moved 7 months ago from NYC). I guess I shouldn't expect them to explain..I'm just hurt and surprised.
It drives me NUTS that people wait for the LAST minuteto rsvp... maybe they are just really clueless how much work we put into planning a wedding and the madness behind the scenes lol
I'm ALSO guessing that people wait for the last minute to buy gifts off the registry....either that, or they just bring their own. lol
It drives us BRIDES NUTS!!! haha
How long did it take other brides to get RSVP's back and were most of the replies on the last week of the RSVO due date?
My other question is...what do you do about the people who don't rsvp at all?? Do you call/email and ask??
I got a TON of RSVP's the week of my deadline and the most on the day before, day of and day after... it's like people think that's the day they need to put it in the mail, so they hold it and wait. Much to the dismay of it's recipient!
My cards were due the 25th of February & I've received 12 out of 51! So believe me when I say I understand your frustration.
I'm making calls at the end of this week to get a count... our caterer is already locked for a certain amt (which was a great deal so we aren't worried) BUT I really don't want to have to buy linens for tables I don't have to set up...
AND I'm trying to get an idea of HOW to set up for the reception so that too would be nice to know.
*feel your pain*
@April_Fools_Bride: to those that don't respond, yes - get on the phone and ask! or email those you know quickly respond to email.
Hahaha, well I wish I would have known this months ahead of time... i wouldn't be such a worried wreck. Good to know Oracle! lol
Question, were most of the last minute RSVP'S no's or yes's???
it depends on the person my family never responds you have to chase them down on the phone :( good luck
@Amnystik - OMG, 12 out of 51??!!! That is just insane and sooo rude!
I soooo feel your pain girl, you are not alone! We are paying for 100 people NO matter what so even if 60 people show up, im paying for $60 bucks a plate for GHOSTS! lol
People have bad manners and don't rsvp in a timely fashion! Start sending emails/calling/giving friendly reminders NOW.
A lot of those who haven't responded will likely be 'no's -- it seems like people feel bad for telling you they can't come, and so don't respond. Other people might still be waiting to see if there is a conflict with their schedules, but a friendly chat/email will give you a good idea to figure out the odds -- at least, this was my experience.
I've asked a couple just to make sure they actually got the invite & they're like OF COURSE I'LL BE THERE! lol.....
I just don't understand... how hard it is to send a STAMPED postcard back. lol
Now mind you most of our guests are in their young 20's BUT still! sheesh LOL
Like I said, I'm starting my calls at the end of the week
Hahaha it's so funny how we all are going through the EXACT same thing!
I'm guessing this is usually common with people who are NOT married. Therefore they have no idea what we are going through in the meantime lol

Ahhh! My wedding is exactly 1 month away now (April 2nd) but I have only recieved a little less than half of the RSVP's. The reception cards are "due" in 1 week. What's up with people?? Do they just open the invitation and then toss it away and just assume I will know if they are going to attend or not.
I'm just annoyed because I need to have a head count to the caterer and the cake maker or I will end up paying more $$. Plus this affects the number of tables and centerpieces I need. Anyone else going through this??
