I'm wearing a headband, so definitely something that's not the norm. I think if you're happy with it then go with it.
I'm wearing my hair half up and all I'm putting (if I put anything) are a few little rhinestone pins in the back. I don't think there's anything wrong with it :)
I went back and forth for a long time (okay, I still am a little bit), but I'm pretty set on not doing anything in my hair. I'm not a big fan of flowers, and I think a veil will take away from my dress.
I bought a tiara and havent decided what to do with my hair yet :) I originally foregoed the veil since we're having an outdoor wedding, but lately I've been thinking I want one. Try to not think of the 'trendy' items but more of what you want or what goes with the dress. No matter how 'trendy' or not something is, it will look great on you!
I can't agree with you more. My dress has enough delicate detail. Not to mention I am 5" nothing, have almost no neck and a veil (unless its a birdcage) is too much material for a little gal
I am still debating wearing something in my hair for the ceremony and/or reception only or not at all - because like you mentioned its become quite trendy. I have short hair - 9 months to grow it a bit and figure out what I want to do, haahaa Below is my dress detail, yes thats me, ugh!!!!
I didn't wear anything in my hair. I bought a flower for my hair, but I ended up not liking it, so I went without anything (a veil wouldn't have worked with my dress).
I think it looks great without anything, I think the dress then looks like a dress on a woman instead of a whole bridal get up and you can see the individuality more. Not that the bridal get ups aren't gorgeous but to me they kind of camouflauge the person a little bit.
@jackie-o: your. dress. is. BEAUTIFUL! I too am 5 ft nada (wasn't dress hunting just an exercise in holding up giant skirts?).
No hair pieces for me, I want to keep it simple. It shocked some people but seriously, I just feel like it's been done. My hair will be stuff-free and no one will die.
I've bought a brooch which I'm attaching to a hair clip to put in my hair. That way I get a little sparkle which picks up detail in my dress and I can use it afterwards.
jackie-o--your dress is beautiful! I, too, am very short and probably will not wear anything in my hair. I think a veil would be too much for me since I'm so short and I'm not really digging the idea of having a flower in my hair.
i don't want to wear anything in my hair either i don't think. MAYBE a headband but i doubt it love my haircut way too much!
jackie o - love your dress! it reminds me a little of mine kind of!
i'm not wearing a flower or veil -- i did get a really unique headband/tiara from etsy though. i'll be wearing my hair down
@marinara - i think that is gorgeous! and very vintage looking. i'd love to wear that (but my hair's too short i think)

I'm starting to think about not wearing anything in my hair. I had planned on going with either a live gardinea or a beautiful hair peice from etsy, but the more I see it on everyone else, the more I'm tempted to go without any embellishments. Not that I don't love the way it looks--I just don't like being too trendy. Anyone else not wearing anything in your hair? Are you wearing it up or down?
