So, i’m usually super motivated at work… I got engaged and I definetly started slacking off due to planning (bee/facebook/etsy/vendor research). Now, found out that my Fiance is going to be transferred overseas (military) soon after the wedding, so I’ll have to resign in the next couple months, my motivation is zapped!! Anyone else slacking off and feeling guilty…but not guilty enough to stop?

I am totally with you. I work with college kids (a different group each semester) and I feel like this semester’s group is getting about 1/3 of what my other kids have gotten. I am just not mentally there at all. So many to do’s and the work stuff gets dropped when I’m there. It’s bad! Hope it doesn’t bite me on the bottom in the end…
Only a few weeks to go…then I’ll slack off work because of my post-nuptial glow/exhaustion… *sigh*

I hate to admit it, but I work from home and basically stopped looking for new clients because I was doing so much wedding stuff! It’s totally taken over my life! I don’t know how you ladies with full time jobs balance it all!!! I’m also trying to make sure when I do something DIY related, I do a generic version so I can set up an Etsy store soon. That’s proactive right?!

Me!!! I create my own hours at work so have found now that 60% of my day revolves around wedding planning and 40% around work. It’s going to be a shock to my system once the wedding is over and I have to go back to working 8 gours a day.

I find at work Im not really there. Always thinking of what I could be doing if I was at home. I come home and litterally have tea and get into ‘wedding work’ mode which happens to be a little bit more productive because it interests me.

I’m glad I’m not the only one! I never feel like i’m present there, even when i’m working…i’m really just thinking about stuff still on my ‘to do’ list (which never seems to get smaller).

That’s me too! My lunch hour ( and sometimes the hours leading up to and after lunch! tehehe) are now spent online browsing websites and checking weddingbee! I’ve actually gotten quite a bit taken care of at work- so yeah… I’m a complete slacker!! oh well, I’m happy!!

I have wedding on the brain big time. I have post-it notes on my desk at work with wedding related checklists. My car has notes, samples, etc. My house is pretty wedding-free by necessity because it is currently for sale.
I try to do most wedding communication via email so that it is less apparent that I am slacking at work. Yea, not sure how well that is working out for me.
Weddingbee is #3 in my work computer’s most visited sites. Oops 🙂
