I found my dress! I tried on a beautiful A-line lace gown and knew it was the one almost immediately.
When they measured me, I was very surprised to find that my size is significantly smaller than what I wear in normal clothes. Maybe it’s that my hips and shoulders are the biggest parts of me relatively speaking, and unlike my day-to-day clothes, my dress is strapless and not fitted at the hips. My bust measured 1.5” below a 0, and my waist at most .5” bigger. The store said that taking out the waist slightly will be easier and cheaper than taking the bust way in.
But it’s making me kind of nervous- I normally wear a 4, sometimes a 2- I don’t think I could squeeze into a size 0 anything at a normal store! It’s hard for me to believe the dress will fit when it comes in, and I’m thinking about changing my order to a 2 so that I’ll sleep better in the meantime. Anyone else have this experience? Maybe I am just really disproportionate!
