@Bunni0929: I am stuck at work, and an idiot co-worker just lectured to me that I will have a hard time getting home as I mainly commute by bus. No shit, sherlock. You think I want to be here? It’s not my fault that my workplace doesn’t ever close down.
Good luck getting home driving. Stay safe.

@Bunni0929: I’m in NYC and had to run an errand on my lunch hour. It really is terrible out and as a Michigan gal…that’s saying something.
Nobody thought to toss salt onto the Upper East Side roads so people’s tires are just spinning on ice. No Bueno.

We had a snow day. AGAIN. I’m annoyed because we have to make up the days in April when we were supposed to be on Spring Break.

I feel for you! Last year it was icing BADLY. Even the post office shut down, yet we were still open! When they finally let us go, it was too late and VERY dangerous. It took 45 minutes just to de-ice my car. I hate driving in the stuff. It’s not me, it’s other drivers that freak me out! (I’m sure they’re thinking the same thing about me!)
I’m thinking safe thoughts for you and hope you get to go home soon!!!

@Bunni0929: What’s funny is that earlier this month (or was it in December?), we had a “storm scare,” and my workplace had us work from home. That “storm” was way less intense/dangerous than what is going on right now, and we are stuck here all day.

@Nouna_: yea i dont blame u im tempted to walk out right now

Ugh. Last year when we got hit by Nemo (the massive blizzard), the parents of the kids in my classroom kept saying “Why did you come to work? You live an hour away!”
And I was biting my tongue so I wouldn’t say “Well SOMEONE has to watch your kids!”

Not stuck at work (closed today) but stuck at home, which is better but still not great! FI went in to work today and I’m a nervous wreck (he has a highway commute and most folks here do NOT know how to handle winter weather.)
Travel safely all you Bees who still have to get home today.

I’m at work. It took me almost two hours to get in this AM (usually about 20 min), which included my car getting stuck on an icy hill for about a half hour. The temp outside is plummeting, as well. Not looking forward to the commute home tonight!
@kestane: Thanks for the thoughts of safe travels! I hope your FH makes it home safely this evening, too!

Please be safe driving. just off the phone with my Dad, he said in Baltimore there’s already more than 2 inches since 9:30am. Another friend is in PA and posting pics of her yard, crazy. She said the news there said they should be getting an 1inch an hour.
I hope you all driving have blankets and kitty litter in your cars. The last winter I was up North, snow started one time pretty late, and it took some people 12 hours to get home, of course that’s around the Baltimore Beltway and no one there knows how to drive in rain nevermind snow.
