That’s why we went off, my sex drive was non-existent!! I find especially right around ovulation it really gets insane. 🙂

I was on Orthocept (a combination pill) for a year and it had several negative side effects, including killing my sex drive (along with inducing depression). When I went off that pill, it was odd to feel like myself again. Best wishes to you.

Yes!!! I was on it for 13 years and had the same reaction. The sex drive is what makes me not want to go back on BCP. I feel like a normal person again.

@lollypop:  I forgot my pills in LAX when I went to Guatemala and Belize last year…And I was like a cat in heat! “Eye boning” every poor unsuspecting male whio crossed my path, it was horrible being away from my FI for 3 weeks with no action!

*raising hand*…it was actualy almost scary how I felt…like it’s all I could think about for like 3 months, and it wasn’t like yay…..wonderful now I can just ravage my hubs, it was like inconvient (middle of class, or while out checking the mail)…..painfully, uncomfortably….akwardly..you get the idea.

It passed within 3 months….but I idd’nt feel like myself for a while. I guess my hormones leveld out. I never had a problem with drive while I was on it, or even before it…everything is to my (and my hubs) satisfaction and so when things got ramped up it was pretty strange to deal with…but I’m at status quo again, and I like it that way!

Me! lol. I had a decent sex drive on the pill, but off it it’s even higher.

I decided to get off of hormones. We’re not TTC, I just wanted to be more natural. I’m liking it so far, I feel better somehow. It’s hard to explain.

Hmm I think the sex drive is a quite a bit higher… or maybe I just have more of a goal to strive for. But honestly all if the hormones coming off the pill still make me feel not great and I have been off the pill now since feb. it would be way easier to enjoy sex if my boobs didn’t start hurting a few days before ovulation and continue through to my period being over. Ridiculous.

That’s what I’m hoping for!  I am still on BC but I feel like it kills my sex drive.

Me too!

Went off for a month for eye surgery. (Those hormones can cause eye dryness in some women, I had this side effect to a high degree and wanted my eyes in tip top shape before I had them operated on.)

Me-Ow! But FI was overseas that month! Oh the missed opportunities! 😉

Um yes!!! Went off for a month because I ran out, realized why I never wanted to have sex anymore and refused to ever go on it again! It’s night and day!

Sigh, this is why when I get married (I’m a wait-till-marriage-for-sex gal), I won’t be using hormonal contraceptives. I keep thinking of how inconvenient all non-hormonal forms are, and then I get reminded of why with things like this! Hahaha.

On a side note, when are they going to figure out a proper BC method for men instead?! As they say, loading a gun with blanks/unloading a gun is more effective than bullet-proof vests. 0.0
