I’m so freaked out now because for some reason I couldn’t picture what a stink bug looked like so I googled it and now I realized the same thing happened to me at work!

It was horrific, like a little thud and then you see this thing. And I was waving my arm around like a psychopath but it wouldn’t come off. Are these the little bugs that hang on for dear life while you’re having a fit? -.-

lol We get them in droves here during the summer. I guess I just try to avoid them. I know how you feel about phobias though. I am down right terrified of spiders. I used to be grossed out by them before but after this summer, where I was bit eight times by a spider and was sick for a month and a half from it, I am legit terrified now.

I HAAAATE them. I hated having to vacuum dead ones out of my lamps every few weeks. I moved to the south west/desert from PA and now I don’t have to deal with them any more 😀

Tip: I used citrus scented lysol on my ac units and windows once or twice a week and it helped keep them out.

@Ms.Sugarsnap:  Blech, then I’m right there with you.

Also hate spiders. Whenever I see one, I freak out and run and tell DH to kill it because it’s massive and hairy and has fangs…and somehow he doesn’t see them. Innocent

I’m not their biggest fan, but I’m not grossed out or afraid of them.  They come into the house pretty often throughout the year.  I just pick them up, cup them in my hand and take them outside. Unless it’s just an irrational phobia I don’t see any reason to be fearful of them – they’re pretty much harmless.

I actually don’t mind stink bugs that much, they’re inescapable during summer in Alaska so I just think of them like mosquitoes, but oh my gosh, I feel this way about spruce beetles. I don’t know if that’s their legit name (googling “spruce beetle” comes up with a similarly gross-looking bug but I can’t tell for sure) but they’re these nasty, quarter-sized, fat black beetles that fly around during the summer here and have no fear of humans so they land on you all. the. time. Bleck. I get the heebie jeebies just thinking about it!

When I used to live at my parents house, I’d sunbathe on our trampoline, and you can FEEL them land on the trampoline, they’re that big!! Oh gosh, I would JUMP off it lol!

I’ll trade ya .. stink bugs for PALMETTO bugs … those effers actually chased me out of the laundry room/carport in January.  I was going to post a pic but when i posted the pic of the effing biggest spider i’ve ever seen … that was in my house … people got sick.

I’m not too bothered by them, but once when I lived with my grandparents I made some chocolate pudding and there was still a little left over that I just left sitting out on the counter. A little while later my grandma decided to finish off the pudding, and guess what had burried itself in the pudding. She bit down on/ almost swallowed a stink bug. She said the taste is by far, way worse than their smell!!!

Oh, God, I cannot stand them!  They legit freak me out.  Our first apartment together was absolutely infested with them, it was dozens daily and I could not cope, it almost reduced me to hysterics.  It was one of the things that made us get out of there PDQ.  Luckily, our big cat Harry loves to pounce on them and stun them, so we can flush them down the toilet before they recover.  I’ve never loved that adorable, derpy cat more.
