@misskittenn:  I am tired, but only because I have picked the one I want. The more time that passes, the more I wonder if my mind will change. So I keep looking just to pass time, and it’s exhausting, yet I keep doing it….Right now, I know the ring I picked is THE RING, and I’m ready for him to put it on my hand!! πŸ™‚ Hang in there!!

sometimes I am in the mood to look at rings, other times it’s like – enough daydreaming, get on my finger already! … then I get all depressed about it.

stay positive and only do what you feel like doing! If you’ve given him enough examples and you’re feeling tired of looking, give it a break for a little while.

PS – my cousin has a heart-shaped diamind e-ring… it’s gorgeous πŸ™‚

@misskittenn:  I’ve looked at rings and yes am burnt out. I like the split shank style though

Ugh, yes.  It’s really exhausting.  Plus I found THE ONE, but it’s way out of my SO’s price range.  ):  I’m supposed to be looking for more affordable ones in the same style, but I don’t want to.

Here’s to hoping this is just a phase (or we all get engaged)!

OMG YES.

SO has to visit each designer to see what the ring is like in person, to hold it, feel the weight, see the qualities. Eventhough we get real life pictures of them, its not good enough. He’s saying they’re all starting to look the same…then pull the trigger dear!

For me to be happy:
Does it have a halo? check
Is there a fun profile of the ring? check
Is it rose gold? check

Result- HAPPY!!!

And we have plans to go see yet another jeweler on Thursday..

I looked at tons and then went and tried some on in store.  I decided back in February what i liked and what i wanted, haven’t looked again since.

I guess that means i’m happy with the choice i made. : )

But yes it was overwhelming searching, but trying them on was the best decision i made because what i thought i wanted ended up looking bad on my little fingers.

I’m not tired per say… more frustrated. I thought it was all settled and then I got thrown for a loop this weekend by looking at another setting and getting other people’s opinions that has left me feeling discouraged and kind of like a spoiled brat. I just want to buy the ring, get the stone set, and step back and let BF have his shining moment to propose.

I’ve been going back and forth about what kind of ring I wanted. For years I always said I wanted an emerald cut with a white gold band but my best friend is a jeweller and says you have to keep getting white gold rhodium plated so I have decided on platinum now. Then I had a phase where I wanted a heart halo but my SO hated it, next was the marquis cut but my friend advised me that I wouldnt be able to have a straight wedding band due to the shape of the diamond. So now me and SO have decided on an emerald cut with platinum band. I’ll leave the choosing to him though.

I am soooo in the same boat!  After looking at rings for months they all started to look the same to me πŸ™  I always thought I’d want a 2ct diamond solitaire round cut 6 prong on a platinum band, but after genuinely thinking “OMG I’ll be wearing this the rest of my life”, I realized that I wanted something really unique.

So I’m super excited that my mom gave my fiance her gemstone ring that my dad proposed with over 30 years ago.  πŸ™‚  It makes the decision super easy and it’s over with!  LOL!  Now comes the internal debate over the wedding BAND!  πŸ˜‰

I am not sick of it (love jewellery!) but I am keen to just get it already! We had it custom made and designed back in March and I just want to see what the finished product looked like so I can stare at it all day!

@misskittenn:  I am sick of it too. Only because I can’t find ANYTHING I like that he would buy. I’m sure he wants to get me something very special and spend some money on it but all I want is a band, maybe with some filigree on it. That is all and I can’t find crap.

First world problems. lol.

@CupcakeLove:  And post it on the board so we can stare at it too. πŸ™‚

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of looking at rings.  Mostly because I feel the need to give my SO lots & lots of examples.  Everytime we walk in a jewelry store I ask him to point out something that he thinks I’d like.  I’m always absolutely horrified by 50% of the rings that he points to. However, at the end of the day I know I’d be happy with whatever monstrosity the SO puts on my finger. I love that man & his poor taste! But until he actually makes the purchase I will keep the examples coming.

i’m never getting tired of it, but i am feeling a bit antsy that my SO will find out how often i do lurk the ring-related sites and what are my preferences, cos i want him to choose my e-ring himself in the first place. the only thing he knows is that my heart is taken by moissanite :3
