I was going to use mywedding.com and ended up using weddingwire.com instead.  I found there to be more customization options.  It allows you to center images, change font styles and sizes, etc.  It even plays whatever music you load in the background when you open the page!

@MiraJo:  I started using mywedding and switched to weddingwire as well. I emailed the mywedding to ask the same questions and unfortunately there isn’t a way to center photos.

@MiraJo:  I didn’t ask so I’m not sure, but you may be able to resize the file outside of mywedding and then upload that file to the website? If all else fails I’m sure it’s not the end of the world. I showed my family my site built on both mywedding and weddingwire and they couldn’t tell any differences until I started to point them out. I don’t think that anyone will be critical of your webiste. It’s not like building websites is your full time job or anything.

i have just started to use mywedding.com and realized the picture problem. not much control over size of picture. i was debating whether to “host” the picture on another website like aphoto album site and just add a link in the text like “Click here to see larger version of picture”but then I just thought, oh well, it’s not a big deal…

i found when you write text in the text fields it will take some basic html code, if you know what to type. so I was able to change some font size and some font color – but beware, changing font size will sometimes alter the layout of the rest of the page, so you may end up spending a lot more itme trying to make everything look right. i was also able to bold and italicize words using html code. just put <b> in front of words to bold and then </b> after to stop the bold. for italics, just use <i> and then </i>. very easy.

oops – i realized i was typing out the codes for bolding nad italicizing in my message and it actually executed the code so now you can’t read what i orginally typed!

basically to bold type < b >  in front of the words to bold and  < /b > after the words – but don’t have any spaces like I typed out above, i added the apces just so you would be able to see it.

for italics, use < i > and then < /i > – but again, don’t have any spaces between the characters
