- Wedding: July 2013
Hello again bees!
I am having an outdoor wedding and reception and I was wondering about which OFF! product I should use for my reception. I am getting married in the summer, July 15th, 2013 to be exact, the reception will begin around 5pm so it will still be light outside. I was wondering if I should buy the tiki torches and light them while it is still sunny outside or should I just buy a few bottles of OFF! bug repelent spray? The torches will also repel bugs. The recepetion will end at 9pm so I think it will still be pretty light out by that time too.
The reason why I am more into the torches is because they will incompass the entire reception area and that means people’s food will be left alone, while the bug spray will just protect the human. xD
Bonus Question: Should I move the wedding time from 3pm to 5pm?
Here is why I am asking this question though at first it seems like it has nothing to do with decor.
- My venue says we cannot come to decorate the location until 12pm. That will leave us only 3 hours to decorate the ceremony and reception. There will be about 8 people to help us set up.
- We need to decorate the chairs, place the ceremony programs, set up my iPod for the music, do a quickie rehersal (We will have already done the official rehersal a few days in advance.) We also need to set up some balloons and lanterns, put up the centerpieces and of course get ready.
- I am worried that 3 hours will not be enough time to do everything we need to do. So I was wondering if we should just push back the ceremony from 3pm to 5pm with a cupcake hour at 5:30 or 6:00pm (depending on how long the ceremony is) and then the official reception a little after 6 or 6:30pm, at least by then people will be hungry.
- Also, if we push it back to let’s say 5pm we can stay longer at the venue and thus letting it get darker and I can light the tiki torches for a more dramatic effect!
What do you bees think? Ideas?
