Very good question. I won a couple items from bridal shows. One was a pampering session with Mary Kay. And of course the consultant tried to sell me stuff (nevermind the fact that I totally gave in). The other one was 300 credit to a laser center. They both worked out for me and I didn’t feel scammed. I would just go to it and see what happens! You aren’t committing to paying anything unless you sign your name or write the check, so if they pressure you to spend and you don’t want to, then have a good time and walk away!

Hi Ladies,

I’ve been contacted by two different Mary Kay consultants who have told me that David’s Bridal submittted by info to the Bridal Registry and that I have won a pampering session. The first time I actually went—she said it would involve a facial, nail treatment, and make up color consultation. I was really excited to have won something, but little did I know what it would really be like. What it really involved was me going to her house, washing my hands with two MK soaps and using MK lotion, trying several different cleanser and face creams, and then gettting made up. The consultant did not do the make up well. There was no actual facial or nail treatment. BIG waste of time. I cannot afford to buy hundreds of $ worth of cosmetics right before my wedding. If you like MK go for it, but don’t expect an actual “pampering session.” I just got an email today from another consultant telling me the same thing about a pampering session and I’m not going. Just wanted to let you know!!
