I didn’t have an odd night but my family is definitely a believer in the full moon thing! My mom works for the public works department in her city and she says she gets the strangest phone calls around the full moon. I’ve heard the same thing from nurses!

I guess I did have some pretty strange dreams last night but nothing too bizarre happened while I was awake.

I don’t think the moon had much to do with it, but my night was random. Not as a random as other nights I have had though. not by a long shot.

We went to a graduation party last night, so nothing weird. I DID have a really weird dream, though, so maybe that was mine.

I had 3 friends go into labor, at the same hospital. One delivered 5 weeks premature, the other right on time, the other is hooked up to the pitocin and will be surely seeing her little one soon.

I work in health care and can tell you most of us believe that you can tell when there is a full moon. Things will be wild and guaranteed…full moon.

@cooperlove:  My night was pretty normal, but I do believe people can get loopy when there’s a full moon. But now I’m curious to know what happened to you last night! What was bizarre about it?

I’ve heard from nurses who work in labor and delivery that more babies tend to be born during a full moon too!

Last night (and tonight) is the perigee full moon or “supermoon” because the moon is currently on its closest pass to the Earth. So yes, the moon last night would appear bigger than usual.

As for the reports that more weird stuff happens on the full moon, this is an illusory correlation. Really, it just comes down to that the fact that people are more likely to remember the fact that a crazy event occurred on a full moon, and feel as though they are more likely at those times. That said, people tend not to account for the crazy ish that happens all of the time when the moon is NOT full. So it is more memorable to say, “This crazy thing happened AND it was a full moon that night” than “This crazy thing happened and there was nothing particularly interesting going on to which to attribute it.”

It wasn’t JUST a full moon, it was a supermoon.  I think that’s your answer! My great aunt used to own a bar, and she swears that the craziest shit always happened on full moons.

BF’s mum had a party last night for her friend’s bday. I always hide in our room when these happen ^^; It’s always lots of scary people, loud music, drinking, weed. So yeah I’d say it was unusual! XD This particular party went on until like 7am, and our room is next to the lounge so I am shattered right now T.T

Yes! Most definitely. I was just so tired, all over the place, scatterbrained, etc. I’m a wedding photographer, and last night I was actually filling in for a good friend’s usual second shooter. All sorts of crazy stuff was happening – equiptment glitches (like NEW flashes not firing), crazy guests, crazy family, you name it!

My morning sickness has been pretty mild… Except for yesterday and today! I can’t even look at food, I’ve been laying down all day, BIZARRE!

And I work in childcare. Shit hits the FAN around full moon time!
