I’ve always had bad knees. My doctor/physical therapist said I have chondromalacia patella aka patellofemoral syndrome or “runner’s knee”. I did some PT which did help a lot but they told me not to expect it to be fixed right away.. that it will take a while of re-strengthening my quads, hamstrings, hips, stretching my IT band, etc. They said my hips seemed to be pulling something out of wack which is causing the knee issue.
So I’ve been doing my perscribed exercise program daily, but I’ve been thinking I’d like to do more. My physical therapist was encouraging me to start doing more exercises at the gym on my own, but I have no idea what other exercises to add!
What do you guys do for your knee pain? Anything specific that helps? I’d love any advice from anyone else with knee issues!
