I am!! I have to write a sort of these project for my massage therapy degree, it’s about the effectiveness of various masage therapy modalities on mastectomy scar tissue. I worked with a woman for the last three months on her scar, carefully documenting what I did and tracking our progress, and now I get to write a 15 page case study on it. I’m interested in the topic, so it’s not going to be uninteresting, just tedious. It’s due January 8th, and I don’t want to be working on it over my hollidays, so I’m starting early. Good luck on your papers, it will all be worth it in the end 🙂

Countrygirl2014:  I’m a full-time freelance writer (I work from home)- so it’s almost like I never stopped being a student. 🙂 when I was in school I majored in writing and literature, basically writing papers and articles and advertisements is all I do!

I like to try and balance my days (especially around the holidays) so that I don’t get burnt out. So I’ll work for a few hours, then go shopping, then work a little more, then bake cookies!

Good luck on your papers! For what it’s worth, my “professional” advice would be to do research for all the papers at the same time, then do outlines for all three, then write them one at a time. That way by the time you’re actually writing each essay it will go really quickly and you’ll already have all your quotes and sources. 🙂

Countrygirl2014:  Awesome that you’re so close to being done!

nambi_pambi:  That sounds really interesting! What were the results?

I have to write a 5 pager about healthcare ethics before Wednesday. This is a little break when it comes to papers, but I’m sure it will pick back up next quarter. I don’t generally mind writing papers, but I’m glad that I don’t have a ton of them and I’m actually going to get to enjoy the holidays this year without them hanging over my head.

swonderful:  Anytime I’ve ever had multiple papers I’ve only concentrated on them one at a time. I’m going to try your advice, as it does sound like it would make the whole process go a little more smoothly.

WifeyGtoBe:  Nice! I’m sure it doesn’t work for everyone, but that’s how I’ve always done it. Good luck!

Yeah, I’ve got 3 10-15pg papers and case reports due in the next two weeks in addition to my clients treatment summaries/plans and diagnostic reports. I took this weekend off though because it’s actually a slow time of the semster! It kind of just comes with the territory of grad school though, it’s not like they won’t get done I just have to do them!

I have just one long one, and a PowerPoint and short paper for the other class. The big paper is worth 45% of my grade! and I’m scared!

Countrygirl2014:  oh, I’m an online student. No presentation, just need to submit the PowerPoint on my topic so the other 3 people in my class can read it. I hate presentations too, but as a case manager and group facilitator with mentally ill adults for 1.5 years, I’ve learned to adapt to speaking in front of groups

Countrygirl2014:  I feel you! I’m currently finishing up my dissertation for my Ph.D  and I’m at about 150 pages, but not done yet! During classes my first year I had each class minus Stats assign me a “short” 20-25 page paper. I’m so over writing, its not even funny.

Countrygirl2014:  I’m in my last year of a double major undergraduate degree, but I’m currently also taking a graduate level class at the behest of one of my professors. I have two 8 page papers, two 12-15 page papers, and one larger 20 page thesis all due in the next 3 weeks! Yay superstress.

Yes, I feel your pain! I graduate with my degree in Psychology in the Spring but for this semester I have so many papers due and the semester ends on the 22nd of December and I am getting married on the 26th 🙁 It’s been really hard to focus too! I’ve been trying to complete my assignments in chunks and that seems to help with the stress and anxiety. Good luck to you all!
