My Fiance is paying for everything at the wedding with the exception of my dress and veil if I decide to use one and my hair and make-up job. Although I think he has a spending limit in mind and if I want to spend more than that I will have to pay myself or ask for help from my family.

My parents were very generous with us, but we are paying for quite a bit together.
it sounds like you and your Fiance haven’t established a budget yet? I would definitely figure that out before signing any vendor contracts.

My Fiance is paying for the photographer, ceremony site fee, venue, food, and drinks, which are the big-ticket items. His budget also includes my rings. I am saving money as we go along and I am paying for my dress, hair, two night-stay at our destination, rehearsal brunch, DIY invitations, and decorations. I also want to pay for my BMs’ hair, but that might max my budget, even though they say they don’t want me pay for it. Altogether, it comes out to about a third of his budget, and he is firm on not going over. I too wish he can be a bit more flexible, but oh well 🙂 There is only so much a grad student can save.

LOL yea right. If my Fiance was paying we’d be heading down to the courthouse. 😉 He doesn’t understand spending all this $$$ on a wedding. I kinda don’t blame him.
