@Bunni0929:  Yes. Yes I do. We are Australians but FI loves the NBA and buys the NBA tv channel to stream and watch. I am not into basketball (I do generally like my sport but any game where 2 minutes of  game time can be spread out to 15 minutes of real time is not for me.) He is a Cavs fan and is obsessed with going to Cleveland to watch a game! I’m like can you please be a fan of a team in a city I would have more interest in holidaying in! (No offence Ohio peeps).

Yes, I do as well!  My husband is obsessed with basketball both college and pro.  He is so excited for the games tonight.  He also met a retired NBA player over the weekend and it made his day!  The funny thing is that for once he looked short because even though my husband is 6’6″, the player is 7’1″.

@Bunni0929:  Haha my SO is obsessed with watching NBA, NFL, and college football games. Luckily I like NBA games and watching my college football team kick ass 😉 But NFL games used to bore me so much! Luckily SO still talks to me during games lol, but I wanted to be able to enjoy them *with* him. So I asked him to teach me about football and I’d watch the games with him. Now I’m able to understand and enjoy the games! He also loooves teaching me and thinks it’s hot that I’m into football now. I also think that men like to show off how much they know :p So maybe you can try asking him to teach you about basketball when he’s watching the games! It actually is fun 🙂 but if you don’t think you’d enjoy watching basketball, you can always try the getting naked thing, and add in a dance routine! 😉 hahaha

@Bunni0929:  Lol! That sounds exhausting! When SO is studying I just pull out my laptop/earphones and watch Say Yes to the Dress and paint my nails :p it might be a good opportunity for some “you” time! Haha

It’s the opposite with us. I’m watching the Heat/Bulls right now…SO is playing uno on his phone.  I’m in the Hive on the commercial breaks though!!

Oh man. My fiance is obsessed with the NBA. Obsessed. He writes for not one, but two NBA blogs. Then when we go out it’s all any of his friends want to talk about. Even with just the preseason going, I already know what’s coming. It’s awful.

@Bunni0929:  H hogged the TV and kept his game on so I missed my shows. Getting another TV when we can >.<

I really want to like sports and understand when other people do that whole cheering and booing thing but I’m just not there yet.

@Bunni0929:  no thank god my husband thinks the nba is a joke. Now, college bball is a different story, but I’ll take that to baseball season since it’s only 1-2 games/week versus every night!  This is why we have more than 1 TV! 😉

@veryberry13:  Haha, we are the same – we both love hockey and college basketball, but my FI could take or leave the NBA, so I sit in front of the TV and yell while he does computer stuff.

@tmsing:  No, it’s college football and college hoops in our house.  We (ok, I) made a rule that he can pick 1 team per sport to follow and watch all their games.  The Lions, the college he went to, etc.  All the marquee games he can watch if we have time, but no staying up ’till 3am or sitting on the couch all damn weekend to watch 6 football games.

I do make exceptions for March Madness and Bowl Games – I’m not that cruel.  🙂
