Everytime I hear "Mama's Song" by Carrie Underwood I get teary. It's such a beautiful song that I relate to to a "T."
Seriously! Me too! I always cry at any wedding - even at weddings on tv where I don't even know the people! I also tear up when I imagine the wedding ceremony, standing there with my future husband and dedicating our lives to each other. I know that I'm going to cry - I'm just going to let it happen! A friend told me the "pretty way to cry" is just to let the tears run - when we try to hold it in is when our face gets all scrunchy and we get the ugly face!
I am soooo glad you posted this! I love that I am not alone here. LOL. Ever since my FI proposed, I am crying over the silliest, most sentimental stuff. The other day I finally picked the dress I am wearing to our civil ceremony here in a few weeks, and I broke down and cried! And it's not nearly as fancy or as bridal as the dress I am wearing to our reception here in a few months. And I picked our ceremony music yesterday. Listening to it almost killed me. I couldn't hold back those happy tears :)
I was thinking the same thing though, every time I picture reciting those vows I get so choked up. I'll have to practice so I don't totally lose it during the actual ceremony. LOL.
Yes! This has been happening to me since we got engaged. Anything about love sets me off! Babies, weddings, sappy commercials...
If you want more to cry over, check out this couple's sweet story from NPR's StoryCorp! I cried both times I watched it, omg...
Yeah, as I get closer to the wedding (only 7 days now!) I cry at EVERYTHING. Hearing songs on the radio, thinking about my vows, writing thank you cards. It's ridiculous! I'm hoping I get all the tears out now so Im not a blubbering mess on the wedding day!
The week before my wedding, I broke down in the card aisle at the grocery store while I was picking out cards for my DH's gift and our wedding party. All of the cards were just so sweet, and expressed how grateful I was for everyone and everything.
My co-worker who came with me couldn't stop laughing at me. She just kept saying "Stop crying! Why are you crying??!"
I was an emotional wreck leading up to my wedding. I cried ( happy tears) over the silliest things. But when it came to walking down the aisle, I did much better than I thought. I cried, but just a little. I'm pretty sure I never made my ugly "try not to cry" face. I guess We'll see when the pro pictures come back. But I also go lucky. My best friend officiated the ceremony and I think he was more emotional than we were and it made it hilarious! It was the best ceremony, so much laughter. It was great. I think there are so many what ifs and what nots before the wedding it makes you more emotional. You'll be fine! Plus, everybody cries at weddings!
I am emotional constantly. I told my FI I think I will be crying until the 30th.
UMMM completely. Such an emotional basketcase!
We were listening to the playlist I have for when people are entering the ceremony (I'm doing oldies love songs like "Going to the chapel", "Today I met the boy I'm gonna marry", "Be my baby", you get the idea) WELL we were singing along in the car and I just starting crying and then laughing at the same time bc it was so silly. Do NOT know how I am going to make it through the ceremony!
I walked into my venue for the first time in August and started crying!
i am so glad I am not the only one! I really dont want to cry on the wedding day!!!! I am hoping I can keep it together. My best friend got married in June and we were all under strict orders not to cry as if one started, we all would follow. It worked pretty well and only one girl teared up a little. I joke with my friends that no crying will be allowed.... hahah
Its been almost a year after my wedding, and one day a few months ago we had the Ipod on shuffle relaxing in the pool and the song I walked down the aisle to, Johnny Cash's version of "In my Life" came on and I started balling, lol!!
Songs from our wedding get me every time!
Yes, DH and I are both huge wussies and get really emotional watching commercials, movies and listening to music. Anyone who saw our wedding video on this site saw us both tear up on our wedding day! That was definitely going to happen.
Yeah, I'm not usually a crier but I have been lately. It's just such an emotional time, it's the happiest I've ever been in my entire life.

I am such an emotional girl these days.... mostly in a good way. I will be driving in the car and hear the song we are using for our slideshow and almost tear up. I had my hair trial and almost cried. I am not a very happy crying type girl but I started crying hardcore happy tears when I got engaged. I hope I can keep it together for the ceremony and not cry off my fake eyelashes!
