I was on bedrest from 14 weeks on with my last pregnacy and the best thing is books magazines movies something to keep her entertained with of course with everything you just mentioned would be Great!
Call her often and just talk she is going to be bored out of her mind
I am sorry that your friend has been put on bedrest. From personal experience, I know that being put on bedrest is not fun at all.
Each of the things that you have mentioned to get her would be extremely helpful to her right now, especially the house cleaner and baby sitter. I had two toddlers when I was put on bedrest with my third and I would have loved to have had some help with cleaning the house and someone to help with the kids. Her hubby can get the groceries and take their other child with him when he is home, but during the time that he is away from work, someone to help with the 3 year old would greatly benefit her. Also, something for her, like some lotions and reading material, crosswords, word find; something of that nature might benefit her too.
Ugh, so sorry about your friend. You are really thoughtful to think of doing something for her. My sister was on bedrest with her second from 7-10 mos (her baby ended up being full term!) The best thing that I did was come over and hang out with her...watching movies, helping take care of her then 18 month old. I also got her a few TV series DVD, the Twilight Series, and would run errands for her.
Good luck to your friend!

So I just found out that one of our friends has been having a really tough pregnancy. She's 22 weeks and has been put on bedrest. I don't know many other details b/c we haven't seen her in a while and she lives across the country from us. Anyways, DH and I would like to do something nice for her and her husband, and we're looking for ideas. Some additional background -- she also has a 3-year old son, who I'm sure is not too thrilled that mommy is on bedrest. Ideas that I've come up with so far include $$ for a housecleaner, babysitter, or one of those grocery delivery companies. Any other good thoughts? If you spent time on bedrest during your pregnancy, what would have been helpful to you?
