newbabybee:  I was not TTC, but have missed a cycle twice in my life for no apparent reason and was not pregnant.

Yep. Stress can do it; basically your ovulation gets put so on hold that it looks like a skipped cycle. I’ve only ever had it happen once tho, in college (and I’ve never been on bc for what it’s worth).  Sure is annoying!

My cycles are normally anywhere from 35 to 42 days.  Even up to 49 was pretty normal for me.  Once in a while, I’d go 2-3 months without a period.  This was all before I took BC.  After coming off BC, my first and 2rd cycles were 90+ days.

newbabybee:  same here. been 70+ days without a period. This happened after I got off my BC. Not pregnant. I have gained loads of weight, and been highly stressed with my work.

Yes, after coming off the pill, once I had a super long cycle. It just happened that I ovulated super late after two months of my last period. I wouldn’t call it missed period unless you are certain you ovulated. Most of the time it ends up being an anovulatory cycle or late ovulation. You can always go for blood test to make sure all if fine. Best of luck, and I am crossing my fingers your period comes soon or you get a BFP.

Yes, I have, two times in the last couple years. I am decidedly not TTC and was not amused by the missing AF

I’m in the same boat- the jury is still out… My last cycle was January 22, and nothing but a couple of days of very light spotting since. The last test I took (BFN) was around March 10. My cycles are usually 38 days, but I had an odd 50-day cycle in there once. This is CD 68 for me, which is unheard of for me. I’m going to wait to retest until next weekend- that is if I still have reason to test. I’m having some strange symptoms, so I still have my hopes up… FX for you 🙂

newbabybee:  I wasn’t TTC but had a 66 day cycle earlier this year.  I tested once a week once I was a week late.  Went to the doctor after about 3 weeks and she gave me a slip for a blood test if I went 2 more weeks with no AF to see what was going on. Turns out it was stress which I should have known (stress plays havoc with my cycle).

newbabybee:  Where are your temps?  Can you link your chart?  I know there can be range differences between women, but I do think most women fall within pretty similar ranges for pre-O and post-O temps.  If your temps are still hanging around in the 96-low 97 range, I’d say for some reason you just haven’t ovulated.  But if they’re high-97 – 98 range, well, maybe you need to go get a blood test!

Once, when I was 19 and it was during exams at school combined with a messy breakup. I missed my period, freaked out, ordered a pregancy test online because I was too scared to go to the freaking drug store to do it — accidentally shipped the test to my parents house and then had to try to convince them that I had MEANT to order shampoo and they had just accidentally fufilled the order with pregnancy tests. RIGHT.

Needless to say, I was not pregnant. Just really stressed out.

newbabybee:  I have twice. Both times were due to excessive exercise, I think. Once I knew I was not pregnant (no sex) the other it was pretty imporssible but maybe still a chance so I did take a test which was negative and my period started a few days later.

Yes, after coming off the pill, I had a 45 day cycle. We started trying straight away when I stopped the pill, so you can imagine how convinced I was that I was pregnant. By the time AF finally arrived, I was so glad to see her! I’m pretty sure I hadn’t ovulated that cycle.

Definitely not trying to concieve, but my cycles have never been regular. I can go 6 months without getting a period and then I’ll be regular for a few months, then miss some, then be regular ect. I get the feeling I’m not typical in that respect though lol.

My cycles are weird, I went the whole month of February 2014 w no AF and only got it on the 22/03! So maybe I missed cycles and didn’t realize?

I don’t know if it’s my weight (light) or exercising too much (2hrs x 2 times a week plus BD) or my diet (bad at eating breakfast, eat lunch at irregular times and sometimes too light, BIG dinner eater) or what but it’s been like that the last 3-4 years or so, I think, but then again I never really paid attention to my cycles…until now!

generally if you have your period you are considered to be ovulating if I assume correctly? Sorry didn’t mean to post this much lol
