Maybe I’m just overly sensitive at the moment, but in the last 3 weeks I’ve been reduced to tears by 4 different people over things they’ve said to me. And just generally offended quite a lot by the way people treat/talk to me.
And then this morning I had ‘maybe they aren’t all super rude, maybe I just have ridiculous standards’ or worse, ‘maybe I’m treated this way because I’m a massive bitch and don’t realise it’.
Eh, rant over.

I’m assuming this is new? Wedding planning is SUPER stressful! Do you have a therapist you can talk to?

@Contented_J: I have had this convo w my sister before. She’s always struggling with people in her life- friends, bosses etc- an at some point you’re right- maybe it’s you. I’m sure you’re not a massive bitch, but maybe you’re acting in a way that causes this? I know my sister is very bossy & self righteous & that’s off putting. Or maybe you’re just too sensitive. In the end, this is on you because you can’t change anyone but yourself. if you feel like people are treatk you wrong, change the way you react or respond and see if he results are different.

@BrandNewBride: thanks. I’m not actually planning a wedding. I’m here as a bridesmaid/pre-waiting kind of gal. But I have recently had extended guests in my house and reduced hours at work, so a little added stress in my life.

@mamadingdong: you’re probably right. I do tend to ‘get my back up’ and then the next little thing feels like a bigger deal than it probably should. Argh, having a glass of wine and bath evening, hoping to start again tomorrow.

All the time (or at least once a month)! I can’t help it sometimes, but I’ve gotten better at recognizing when I’m being irrationally and just CARE about everything way too much.
